Neighborhood: This furnished apartment is located on Rue Richard Lenoir between Rue de Charonne and Rue Gobert, not far from the historic Place de la Bastille where the Opera de Paris is considered one of the best in the world. Within walking distance is the royal Place des Vosges, the oldest and most beautiful square in Paris and the former place of residence of many historic personalities. Built by Henri IV, its perfect symmetry and verticality are fine examples of classical French architecture. There are many choices of restaurants, cafes, and other sorts of shops and essential services near this accommodation. Premises: This 73m² (approx. 785 sq. ft.) two-bedroom apartment is located on the first floor of a walk-up building from the 19th century. The entrance gate, protected by a coded security system, opens into a hall where a second gate with an intercom leads to the staircase. The apartment entrance opens into a hall that leads to the living room/dining room, the separate bathroom, the first bedroom and a storage area. The second bedroom and the kitchen are accessible from the dining room. The 31m² (approx. 330 sq. ft.) living room/dining room has three double-glazed windows with southwestern exposure overlooking the street. It is furnished with two sofas (one small and one large) where a child can sleep, two armchairs, a sitting stool, a rectangular glass coffee table, a decorative marble fireplace, an antique-style round table, a cable TV with a DVD player, a corner cabinet, a world globe bar and a bookcase. The 12m2² (approx. 125 sq. ft.) main bedroom has a double-glazed window with southern exposure overlooking a courtyard. It is furnished with a queen-size bed, a bedside table, a small console and a built-in closet. The 10m² (approx. 105 sq. ft.) second bedroom has a double-glazed window with southwestern exposure overlooking the street. It is furnished with a double-size bed, a single-size bed, a marble decorative fireplace, and an armchair. The separate kitchen has three windows. It is equipped with a stove (one gas burner/three electric burners), a microwave, a refrigerator, a freezer, a coffee maker, a toaster, an electric oven and a dishwasher. There is also a small dining table with chairs. The washing machine and dryer are in the storage room. The bathroom has a window, a bathtub topped by a showerhead, a washbasin and a toilet. Heat and hot water are gas. For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro stations are Voltaire (line 9) and Faidherbe Chaligny (line 8).
