Description
1 Bedroom Apartment Rental in Panthéon (PA-999)
1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, 1 Half Bathroom - Sleeps 2

This 1-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom fully-furnished apartment is located on the first floor (equivalent to the second floor in the USA) of a no-elevator building—near the crossing of Rue Monge and Rue des Boulangers. This 30 m2 (around 320 square-foot) Paris rental is in Pantheon of the Latin Quarter (fifth arrondissement), which is a historic area with a multitude of cafes and bookstores. When stepping outside of the apartment, the narrow cobblestone street draws you back in time while not keeping you isolated from the modern hustle-and-bustle around the corner.

When you want to relax, you can pick your style. There is a sofa bed (double-size), dining table, and television in the apartment living room. A window faces the west courtyard. And a desk and chair are ready for your work at home. The bedroom has a double-size bed and a mirrored closet while the full bathroom has a tiled shower, a toilet, and a sink. A flair of rustic charm, exposed wooden beams style the ceiling throughout most of the apartment. In the tile-backsplash kitchen, there is a microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, fridge, and a washing machine.

This apartment is located 450 meters (around 0.3 miles) from the Pantheon. Also, it is just a 850-meters (around 0.5 miles) trip to Shakespeare & Company. This storied bookshop sits in the shadow of Notre Dame de Paris. There are many French restaurants, cafes, and creperies within a 600-meter radius of the rental. Additionally, the Luxembourg Gardens (1.4 km or around 0.9 miles away) is a well-known date location.

Cardinal Lemoine, the closest metro station, is just 50 meters (around 150 feet) away. Here, you can catch the 10 subway line. The apartment is also 200 meters (around 0.1 miles) from Jussieu metro station with service to the 7 and 10 subway lines.

Apartment Rental: 1 month

From the moment we arrived in Paris and to the actual apartment location our experience was overall a great one. The apartment itself was great, very spacious, surprisingly well divided with a separate bedroom and an phenomenal and so so spacious bathroom, we just loved the shower, nothing like any other apartments were viewed or previously stayed at in Paris prior to this rip. The kitchen was well equipped and anything we needed that wasn't already there the owner Bich made a true effort to get it for us. The building is nothing less then perfect in the sense that is in the "Perfect" location ... yes, location location location. We have several bakeries right on our street, two grocery stores, a couple of evening and weekend street farmers markets and plenty of restaurants and bars just a easy walk distance from our place. I was studying at the Sorbonne next to the Pantheon, and from the apartment it was a quick 6 min walk.

On the downside, no air-conditioner, which in the hot Parisian summer is at times needed, but not unbearable.

My only complaint is that we were not informed at all that we could not leave a copy of our apartment keys on the door through the inside, which we did, we left one there and took one as we went to dinner, result, we were unable to open the door, had to call the owner who came over and to make a long story short, we were charged $300 Euros to have the door open, which was extremely disappointing. I still to this day don't believe it was reasonable to charge us those excessive funds.

Dear Moises,
Thank you for your review regarding your stay in this apartment through our agency.
We have shared your review with the owner. She will be more careful regarding the door with the next tenants. In France, when it is impossible to open a door (not dilapidated), it is always the tenant responsibility to pay the locksmith. Unfortunately, 300 euros is a regular amount for opening a door in Paris.
Best regards,
