The 9th arrondissement is in one of the main business districts and is home to over 100,000 jobs. The 9th arrondissement is also known for the Grands Boulevards area which includes the Boulevard Haussmann. It was laid out by Baron Haussemann in the 1800's as one of the main tree lined streets in Paris. The Boulevard Haussmann is home to some of Paris main department stores including: Printemps department store flagship store, Galeries Lafayette flagship store and the famous Japanese department store Takashimaya's Paris store.
Of course if you are in to culture you do not want to miss the Opéra Garnier, Paris' world famous opera house. On top of that there are theaters and museums in the 9th to enjoy.
