Well, we had a fantastic time in Paris and [the] apartment was perfect for us -- comfortable, roomy, homey, quiet, conveniently located and well-appointed with cooking utensils, a great cable TV and a fantastic little private garden. We couldn't possibly have asked for more, and we heartily recommend your service and [this vacation rental] to anyone seeking to avoid hotels in gay paree. |

We had a wonderful time in Paris [...] The owner of the [vacation rental] atelier in which we stayed, warmly greeted us on our arrival. She had cold drinks, fruit, and cookies as a much-appreciated refreshment. [She] had prepared a small notebook with directions from watering her plants to working the washing machine and a phone number where she or her neighbor could be reached in case there was a problem. She also had prepared a package of maps and tourist information about things to do and places to see in Paris. We all liked Nicole and felt almost like longtime friends by the time we left.
One of the reasons we enjoy traveling is to experience cultural diversity. We enjoy seeing how people in other parts of the world live and seeing parts of a city that tourists don't normally experience. [This] atelier [type apartment] gave us the opportunity experience living in a converted artists studio, shop in local Paris markets, roam the streets of the neighborhood, and buy just-baked croissants from the corner bakery in the morning (we quickly discovered which bakery had the best) and pick up a baguette for dinner on the way home in the evening.
[The] vacation rental was nothing like the home we have here in Washington. We didn't expect it to be. We didn't want it to be. The apartment had everything we needed for our stay and after a day of sightseeing, walking in the front door was a welcoming feeling. We felt at home.
It was a pleasure working with NYHabitat on our Paris accommodations. If we hadn't we would not have had the pleasure of meeting [this Paris owner]. |
