Everything went very smoothly with the [Paris vacation] rental. I appreciated the very capable assistance offered by Patrick LeGoff of your staff, and the owner of the apartment was also very personable, organized and responsive.
Because this particular vacation rental is in a very old building, it might be useful to alert renters to the fact that the staircase is very narrow, steep and winding. This could pose a problem for someone with limited mobility. Also, because patrons of the restaurant next door gather outside on the street on warm evenings, renters should be prepared for some vicarious socializing. |

I'd like to recommend the apartment in which we stayed. We felt like we were staying at a friend's house. |

First, I would like to thank [your agent] for working overtime to help me out in a rough spot. She really went out of her way to expedite our rental, and made the paperwork fast and easy for me. Next, I'd like to recommend the apartment in which we stayed. We felt like we were staying at a friend's house. The vacation rental was the perfect size for us, clean and well kept, and very personal -good books on the shelves in many languages, city guides, etc. Instructions for our stay were clear and friendly. The owner's sister in law met us with the keys. She was absolutely charming. The location was wonderful, the neighbors friendly, the streetlife interesting, the cafes warm and inviting. People gather in the street below in the late evening, which we found a happy distraction, but some people might think it noisy that late at night. But that congregation only stays a short while, then the streets are very quiet until daybreak. The island is really a little refuge at the heart of the city. The people who live and work there are the most gracious hosts. They made us feel so welcome. |
