Cozy two bedroom apartment in the Les Halles area
|
Neighborhood :
Located between Rue Montorgueil and Rue Etienne Marcel, this apartment is in the trendy, youthful area of Les Halles. The pedestrian Montorgueil Street has a wide choice of quality food products, restaurants and cafes, as well as other services. It is also very close to the Beaubourg modern art museum, the rue des Lombards jazz clubs and, of course, the large underground mall of Les Halles. It is also in a short walking distance to main points of interest such as the Seine River, the Notre Dame Cathedral on Ile de la Cité, the unique Ile Saint Louis, and to the majestic Louvre Museum. From the adjoining Jardin des Tuileries, one of the most renowned parks in Paris, there is a fine perspective -- the alignment of the Obelisk on Place de la Concorde, the Champs Elysée and the Arc de Triomphe in one direction, the Arc de Triomphe du Carroussel and the glass pyramid of the Louvre in the other. It is centrally located, very convenient to travel all around Paris.
Premises:
The apartment is situated on the fifth floor (sixth in the USA) of a 19th century restored building with an elevator. The main entrance gate is protected by a security system, an intercom and and a concierge (all day). The apartment faces the street and has a south exposure. It has white painted walls and beams on the ceiling, and it is all tiled.
Layout:
The entry door opens on a long corridor; on the right side is the large bathroom and a separate toilet followed by the first bedroom. On the left side is the open eat-in kitchen, equipped with a bar and two chairs, and the alcove living room.
The 50m² (approx. 535 sq. ft.) living room has a long stone wall at the top and is furnished with two sofas, an armchair, a coffee table, carpeting, an antique buffet, a dining table and plants. It also has cable TV with a DVD player. The four double-gaze windows open onto a balcony, which overlooks the street.
The alcove space is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, a desk with an internet access, and a closet. There is a window overlooking a courtyard with eastern exposure. This space can be converted into a second bedroom since it is separated from the living room by curtains.
The open eat-in kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, four gas burners, a gas oven, a coffee maker and a toaster.
The 14m² (approx. 150 sq. ft.) bedroom has a window with curtains opening onto the balcony, a 160cm (approx. 5 ft.) wide bed and a built-in closet.
The all tiled bathroom has a bathtub with a handled showerhead, a double washbasin with a mirror, and a separate shower with a wall-mounted showerhead and a small wooden bench.
An Internet connection and a a computer are available.
The nearest metro stations are Chatelet-Les Halles (lines 1-4-7-11) and RER A/B, Etienne Marcel (line 4), Sentier, Bourse (line 3).
Heating and water heater are individual with gas.
