Charming one bedroom apartment with private garden close to the Place des Vosges

This calm 70 m2 pleasant and charming one bedroom apartment is located on the ground floor of a 17th century well kept building and equipped with two security systems. Located between Rue Saint-Antoine and Place de la Bastille, this one bedroom apartment is next to the royal Place des Vosges, famous and hailed for the harmony of its architecture, where the famous French novelist Victor Hugo lived from 1832 to 1848 (number 6). It is still possible to visit his apartment and the room where he wrote his novels (especially Les Misérables). Built under Henry IV the singular Place des Vosges was firstly called Place Royale, having been the heart of an aristocratic district, where the rebellious nobles flouted Richelieu's ban for duel fights. It is part of the special atmosphere enclosing the live and historical Marais area with its substantial number of points of interest such as museums, art galleries, design shops, as well as diverse types of trendy bars and restaurants. In a walking distance are the Seine River with its two delectable islands - Ile de la Cite and Ile Saint Louis -, and the Hotel de Ville (City Hall). In the neighborhood there are number of traditional restaurants, cafes, and open-air markets such as the one on Place d'Aligre, to be visited, and a second one on Rue Richard Lenoir. All other sorts of services are easily found in the whole neighborhood. Numerous cinemas around the area. Just steps away is the Rue de la Roquettet is mostly frequented by young people. The heart of this area is the historic Place de la Bastille, symbol of the French Republic. Built during the 14th century as a fortified royal residence, it is the most famous monument in Paris. You have the new Opéra House nearby, considered as one of the best Operas in the world, inaugurated at the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution. You have access to the apartment in a nice courtyard. It has a 18m² private garden with flowers and lime trees equipped with a dining table and 4 chairs. It is East/West oriented. The hall opens on the 40 m2 living room enlightened by 4 windows with shutters and white linen curtains, it has white-painted walls and one antic stone wall and beams on the ceiling. The living room is equipped with a sofa, an antique wicker armchair, a coffee table, a bookshelves full of books, a cabled TV, a VCR, a stereo, carpet on the floor, a dining table with matching chairs, a wooden trunk. On a mezzanine, in the living room, you will find a futon (single) and a chest of drawers. Then, is the bedroom equipped with a double bed (140 wide), closets, and bedside table with reading lamp, an antic chest of drawers. The bedroom opens on the protected flowered terrace. It has two French windows with curtains. The kitchen is situated in the living room, has a large wooden bar and is very well equipped with a combo fridge-freezer, a dishwasher, a washing machine, an electric oven, a microwave, 3 gas burners and one electric, a toaster, a coffee machine, a ceramic sink. The bathroom has a tub with a handled showerhead, a shower with a wall mounted showerhead, a washbasin surmounted by a mirror and a nice decorated closet>Toilet is in the bathroom. Gas heating and water heater individual with gas. The nearest metro station is St Paul (line 1). Numerous buses around.
