Studio in the heart of the latin quarter
|
Situated in a live pedestrian area of the eminent Latin Quarter, between Boulevard Saint Michel and Rue Saint Jacques. It is ideal for two people.
Thus named because all communication between students and teachers took place in Latin language until the French Revolution, the Quarter Latin has been the center of Parisian education since the Middle Age. One of the most youthful areas of Paris placed a few steps from the Seine River and Notre Dame Cathedral, it includes the Boulevard Saint Michel abounding of fashion shops, bookshops, and other facilities, and part of the renowned Boulevard Saint Germain with its stylish shops and selected restaurants.
Facing St Séverin Church's right wall this apartment is located on the 1st floor of a 16th century walk up building equipped with a security system and intercom. In this same building lived, in the past, the eminent French poet Jacques Prevert.
Cozy and warm this 42m2 studio has freestone and white painted walls, 3 meters high ceiling with genuine exposed beams, glazed old style hexagonal floor tiles, antique area carpets, and double-glazed windows facing St Séverin Church.
Decorated in a French classy style, in the L-shaped living room there are a sofa and two velvet armchairs around a rectangular coffee table, recessed single beds (side by side or separated, at client's choice), and an antique wooden wardrobe. It also has a wooden drop leaf' dinning table, nice lamps, a small TV, a stereo, air-conditioning. And three large windows garnished with curtains.
Set up behind a rectangular hatch, the kitchen is equipped with three electric burners, a traditional electric oven, a fridge, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. It also has cupboards containing kitchen utensils.
The bathroom has a shower cabin protected by plastic curtain, and a washbasin with a mirror above and cabinet below.
Restroom is separated.
The closest metro stations are "St Michel" (Line 4), "Maubert" or "Clunny la Sorbonne" (line 10).
