One bedroom apartment in the Marais
|
Situated in the Marais area, nearby the Republic Place, between rue de Bretagne and rue des Gravilliers.
Set out by the Baron Haussmann in 1854, the Place de la Republique has in its center the 10m high' Republic statue, realized by Dalou in 1883, resting on a bronze base showing the events of that period's history. It was the baron who gave to Paris a new breadth, as before him it had the bad reputation of an insalubrious medieval city enclosing filthy narrow lanes. Very close the famous Place de la Bastille where is the new Opera considered as one of the best in the world, inaugurated for the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution. This neighborhood is provided with many choice restaurants, cafes, and all sorts of convenience shops.
Newly renovated and decorated, this bright and smartly laid out 63m2 apartment is located on the 5th floor of a pre-war 20th century building equipped with an elevator, a security system, and an intercom. Facing the silent courtyard, it is west exposed, has 2,50m high ceilings, white painted walls, and a wall-to-wall carpet. It accommodates 6 people.
A pleasant perspective from the main door shows the sequence of the rooms enlightened by four windows in a row.
First, the agreeable 43m2 living room is furnished with a 1.40cm wide double sofa and an armchair in front of a rectangular coffee table, a dining table and four chairs (and 2 extra armchairs available), a dresser, a cable TV set down on a console, a floor lamp, design ceiling lamps, an area carpet, and a telephone. In the afternoons sun light come in across the three large windows garnished with white curtains overlooking the calm courtyard.
Sizeable, the open kitchen is placed behind the wooden countertop, fitted out with worktop with four gas burners, a traditional electric oven, a small fridge with freezer compartment, a hood with exhaust fan, a round stainless steel sink, a combo washing-drying machine, a toaster, an electric coffee maker, shelves screened by short curtains containing the necessary utensils.
In the 12m2 bedroom there is a 1.40cm wide double bed with built in closets on both sides and above, as well as bed head wall lamps, and an armchair. Also opening to the courtyard, the window is screened by the same white curtains.
Adjacent to the bedroom an alcove sheltered by white curtains on both sides encloses a 1.40 wide double sofa bed. To its right side, preceding the bathroom, there are two closets.
At the bottom of the living room, the all white painted and off white tiled bathroom has a shower cabin, a white square washbasin with a nice mirror above, and a window screened by Venetian blinds facing the bedroom. The same door opening to the bathroom is used to keep apart the toilet.
High speed Wifi internet access is available
