This furnished apartment is located on Rue Royer Collard just behind Le Jardin du Luxembourg. The district of Luxemburg is one of the more pleasant in Paris and the traffic there is less dense than other areas of the city. The main monument in the area is the Palace of Luxemburg, which houses the Senate of the Republic Francaise and is located north of Le Jardin du Luxembourg. Other interesting buildings near this accommodation are the Look-out Observatory and the Hospital of the Val de Grâce.

Premises:

This 45m² (approx. 484 sq. ft.) apartment is located on the sixth floor of a 19th century building that has an elevator. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded system that opens into a corridor with an intercom and a concierge. This leads to the staircase.

The 20m² (approx. 215 sq. ft.) living room has a parquet floor and two French windows with curtains and shutters that overlook the street. It is furnished with three sofas, armchairs and a fold out dining table. There are two decorative fireplaces and a cable TV. This room provides access to a balcony that has a table and two chairs and a view of the Eiffel Tower.

The separate kitchen is to the left of the apartment entrance. It is equipped with four electric plates and an oven topped by a cooker hood, a refrigerator, a freezer, a coffee maker, a toaster and a microwave.

The 8m² (approx. 85 sq. ft.) bedroom is accessible from the bathroom and is tiled. It has a window with curtains and shutters that overlooks a courtyard. It is furnished with a double-size bed, a built-in closet, a desk and shelves. There is a view of Le Panthéon from this room.

The tiled bathroom is fitted with a shower, a washbasin, a toilette and a washing machine.

The apartment was light airy spacious and in a great location. It was on the 6th floor but there was a lift. The view of the Eiffel Tower was better than expected. The apartment was well equipped with maps and books on paris as well as general reading. Great for a wet Sunday afternoon when the shops are closed. Didn't discover the umbrellas until the day before we left! The only thing that could be improved would be that it took a long time and several emails to get an answer from the owner re bank account details and confirming the receipt of the deposit. It would have also been helpful to have known which exit to take from the metro and the directions to the apartment. When we met the owner she was very helpful in pointing out the best areas for eating out, buying food etc. she was very nice.

      Dear Alison,
Thank you for choosing my apartment on rue Royer Collard for your stay in Paris.
I will adopt your suggestions and in the future I'll respond very quickly and give clearer directions to the apartment.
I didn't get a security deposit from you since that's what we'd agreed . I hope to see you again.
      Kind regards,
      Graciela

We found the apartment quite easily. There was a boulangerie and patisserie and bar across the road. Several restaurants in the area that you could take away food to the apartment. Two blocks away to Luxembourg Garden. We walked to Notre Dame and to the Louvre along St Michel. A nice area which was close to shopping also.

The apartment was a good size for 3 people. The view was the best!!!! You could step out onto the balcony and see the Eiffel Tower...it was beautiful when lit up at night. Balcony was a great place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. We hated to leave when the time came...We felt like we had just gotten settled.

The kitchen was well outfitted, having a refrigerator, microwave oven, and stove-top as well as pots, glass ware, dishes, and silverware. The weather was hot while we were there so the oscillating fan helped and there was a nice breeze in the late evening. There is no air-conditioning though.

The street side of the apartment was to loud to leave the windows open at night. You are on the top floor and there is an elevator...thank goodness. The owner met us at the time requested and showed us around the apartment.

    All worked out very well.

Thank you for the review. Sorry about the high temperature, I may consider installing A/C.

Usually, the street is quiet, it is tiny street but the street at the corner is bigger but at night and even during the day it's not very busy. Thank you for coming to my place.

      Best wishes,

      Graciela

I found the bed to be rather uncomfortable but overall, the apartment appeared "as described."

The little balcony is nice, and it's a good shower.

The owner was friendly and even told us she didn't need to be there when we left, which made our departure less stressful.
That being said, there was construction going on to the floor below, so there was constant noise (no sleeping late on vacay), people coming and going in and out the front doors and up and down the elevator all day, a water shut-off related to the work, and the entry-way and elevator were dirty.
While there is nothing the owner can do about renovations to another apartment, I think that because she does not live in the building permanently, she might not realize the extent of the inconveniences associated with the renovations.

This was a nice apartment, but personally, I would not return until the renovations are complete.

Yes, the fifth floor is under renovation. Most of the works are now done and should be over at the end of June.
As for the beds, they are brand new, the mattresses were changed at the end of May.
The guests were polite, pleasant, arrived exactly on time and the apartment was clean when they left.

This is a very nice and spacious apartment for this area of Paris. The owner met us at the apartment even though our flight was a little late, she explained all the 'ins-and-outs' - kitchen, stove, washing machine etc etc.

The apartment can be a little noisy when local university students are celebrating, we where there at the start of the fall semester, but in general it's a nice quiet location.

Accessibility to RER B and local buses is excellent.

A good value for the money

The apartment was small, but attractive. The view from the balcony towards the Eiffel Tower and Luxembourg Gardens was terrific. The kitchen was tiny! The owner who met us on arrival was friendly and nice. She might consider putting in new towels. On several nights there were loud parties in nearby buildings that lasted well past 3:00 am. This would not normally be much of a problem except that we had to keep all windows open due to the unusual heat wave.

The apartment was in a great location, close to shops, restaurants and services, as well as within walking distance of many tourist attractions. The Luxembourg Gardens were right around the corner.
The small balcony was a bonus, with a view of the Eiffel Tower. The building was very quiet, with a security entrance and a small elevator. Although the bedroom is small, the owner might consider placing a queen size rather than double bed there (if it would fit). This would make the sleeping arrangements more comfortable since the bedroom was quite warm (although fans were provided, and there is a window). The owner had provided extra amenities, such as a hairdryer and currency converter, coffee maker, microwave etc. The owner met us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the apartment and facilties, and provided us with two keys. She was very pleasant, and also provided contact information should we need anything else.
The free wifi was also appreciated. In summary, we were pleased with the accommodations and with the service received from the NYHabitat agent.

Convenient location, and the apartment had a true Parisian "feel" to it. Loved the view from the balcony of both the roof tops and the Eiffel tower. The bakery across the street, so delicious. Would go back in a heart beat.

The apartment is in a wonderful location: a block from the Luxembourg RER, Boulangerie across the street, Food shops up the street on Rue St. Jacques. It is clean and bright with a view of the Eiffel Tower from the balcony. It is on the 6th floor with an elevator. With the windows closed at night it is very quiet. The kitchen is small, but well equiped for simple meals. It may be a bit warm in the summer months as the sun shines in the living room doors in the afternoon. There is a cross breeze with the bedroom window.
There is a washing machine and a drying rack which can be put on the balcony for quick drying in good weather. Equipped with hair dryer, universal plug converters, umbrellas, books, maps, Paris guides. We would rent it again if we return to Paris.

The vacation rental apartment near Luxembourg Gardens in Paris was just right. We could see the Eiffel Tower from the balcony and although it was small, it had everything we needed. The owner and her son were very helpful when we needed to call about a computer issue and even offered to come over if needed. Everything was clean--the bed was comfortable and the shower was great (for a family of tall people, a high shower is really terrific!).

We had a great time--and I've already given out Meg's name to a friend to help them with their trip.

I enjoyed my stay at the Paris apartment and was very satisfied. Excellent location and neighborhood, close to many cafes and attractions, and the view of the Eiffel tower from the balcony was an added bonus. The apartment was very clean, roomy and comfortable, and spending a week in Paris, an apartment is definitely more comfortable and cost efficient than a small hotel room. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking to rent an apartment in Paris.

Your services were excellent, quick responses to my inquiries and rental process was very efficient, and I would use your services again.

The [Paris] apartment was wonderful. It was clean and nice. It was close to the subway. It provided a great base for exploring the city. And it was fairly priced. The owner was very kind.

I would recommend it to anyone looking to spend some time in Paris.

[...] The owner was prompt and courteous in answering all my questions by email. She also helped us out with our arrival plans on the RER, an easy transfer, direct from the airport to the Luxembourg stop, then a 2 minute walk to the apartment.
The apartment was clean and bright and well-equipped - anything we could anticipate needing was there. A great location, central to everything, this apartment had the added bonus of a balcony with a great view. Even though this was a studio with only one bedroom, the living room was large enough to accommodate all four of us, sleeping two, and having enough room for gathering and eating. We found the apartment cozy and well-designed for the size.
The neighborhood was quiet and friendly, and right next to the Luxembourg Gardens, where my daughters went running every morning, before stopping in at the corner boulangerie for our daily croissants and baguettes! A great Paris experience - I'd recommend this apartment to anyone.

I have used your service twice and have been very pleased with the results. What I have found most helpful in making a decision was the extensive descriptions of the apartments and the many pictures. In terms of the most recent choice. My wife and daughter were the lucky ones to be there. They had a magical time and found their landlady to be extremely gracious and helpful. The apartment itself was beautiful and very well kept. I look forward to using you
