This furnished apartment is located on Rue Royer Collard just behind Le Jardin du Luxembourg. The district of Luxemburg is one of the more pleasant in Paris and the traffic there is less dense than other areas of the city. The main monument in the area is the Palace of Luxemburg, which houses the Senate of the Republic Francaise and is located north of Le Jardin du Luxembourg. Other interesting buildings near this accommodation are the Look-out Observatory and the Hospital of the Val de Grâce. |

Everything was excellent, the location, the views, the service from the host, the neighborhood, well above our expectations.
May 27 2012I found the bed to be rather uncomfortable but overall, the apartment appeared "as described."
May 20 2012The little balcony is nice, and it's a good shower.
The owner was friendly and even told us she didn't need to be there when we left, which made our departure less stressful.
That being said, there was construction going on to the floor below, so there was constant noise (no sleeping late on vacay), people coming and going in and out the front doors and up and down the elevator all day, a water shut-off related to the work, and the entry-way and elevator were dirty.
While there is nothing the owner can do about renovations to another apartment, I think that because she does not live in the building permanently, she might not realize the extent of the inconveniences associated with the renovations.
This was a nice apartment, but personally, I would not return until the renovations are complete.

Yes, the fifth floor is under renovation. Most of the works are now done and should be over at the end of June.
Jun 08 2012As for the beds, they are brand new, the mattresses were changed at the end of May.
The guests were polite, pleasant, arrived exactly on time and the apartment was clean when they left.
Location is everything. Along with location is benefit from location, cleanliness, amenities, value for the dollar, etc. You can't go wrong with this property.

Mr and Mrs Dawson W. were very good very polite and clean clients
Apr 16 2012they arrive exactly on time
This is a very nice and spacious apartment for this area of Paris. The owner met us at the apartment even though our flight was a little late, she explained all the 'ins-and-outs' - kitchen, stove, washing machine etc etc.
Sep 11 2011The apartment can be a little noisy when local university students are celebrating, we where there at the start of the fall semester, but in general it's a nice quiet location.
Accessibility to RER B and local buses is excellent.
A good value for the money
The apartment was small, but attractive. The view from the balcony towards the Eiffel Tower and Luxembourg Gardens was terrific. The kitchen was tiny! The owner who met us on arrival was friendly and nice. She might consider putting in new towels. On several nights there were loud parties in nearby buildings that lasted well past 3:00 am. This would not normally be much of a problem except that we had to keep all windows open due to the unusual heat wave.
Jul 13 2011The apartment was in a great location, close to shops, restaurants and services, as well as within walking distance of many tourist attractions. The Luxembourg Gardens were right around the corner.
Jun 21 2011The small balcony was a bonus, with a view of the Eiffel Tower. The building was very quiet, with a security entrance and a small elevator. Although the bedroom is small, the owner might consider placing a queen size rather than double bed there (if it would fit). This would make the sleeping arrangements more comfortable since the bedroom was quite warm (although fans were provided, and there is a window). The owner had provided extra amenities, such as a hairdryer and currency converter, coffee maker, microwave etc. The owner met us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the apartment and facilties, and provided us with two keys. She was very pleasant, and also provided contact information should we need anything else.
The free wifi was also appreciated. In summary, we were pleased with the accommodations and with the service received from the NYHabitat agent.
Convenient location, and the apartment had a true Parisian "feel" to it. Loved the view from the balcony of both the roof tops and the Eiffel tower. The bakery across the street, so delicious. Would go back in a heart beat.
Jun 12 2011The apartment is in a wonderful location: a block from the Luxembourg RER, Boulangerie across the street, Food shops up the street on Rue St. Jacques. It is clean and bright with a view of the Eiffel Tower from the balcony. It is on the 6th floor with an elevator. With the windows closed at night it is very quiet. The kitchen is small, but well equiped for simple meals. It may be a bit warm in the summer months as the sun shines in the living room doors in the afternoon. There is a cross breeze with the bedroom window.
Apr 28 2011There is a washing machine and a drying rack which can be put on the balcony for quick drying in good weather. Equipped with hair dryer, universal plug converters, umbrellas, books, maps, Paris guides. We would rent it again if we return to Paris.
The vacation rental apartment near Luxembourg Gardens in Paris was just right. We could see the Eiffel Tower from the balcony and although it was small, it had everything we needed. The owner and her son were very helpful when we needed to call about a computer issue and even offered to come over if needed. Everything was clean--the bed was comfortable and the shower was great (for a family of tall people, a high shower is really terrific!).
Jul 07 2010We had a great time--and I've already given out Meg's name to a friend to help them with their trip.

My vacation rental tenant, Julie A., was very pleasant, clean and polite.Thank you
Jul 07 2010I enjoyed my stay at the Paris apartment and was very satisfied. Excellent location and neighborhood, close to many cafes and attractions, and the view of the Eiffel tower from the balcony was an added bonus. The apartment was very clean, roomy and comfortable, and spending a week in Paris, an apartment is definitely more comfortable and cost efficient than a small hotel room. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking to rent an apartment in Paris.
Oct 13 2008Your services were excellent, quick responses to my inquiries and rental process was very efficient, and I would use your services again.
The [Paris] apartment was wonderful. It was clean and nice. It was close to the subway. It provided a great base for exploring the city. And it was fairly priced. The owner was very kind.
Jul 11 2007I would recommend it to anyone looking to spend some time in Paris.
[...] The owner was prompt and courteous in answering all my questions by email. She also helped us out with our arrival plans on the RER, an easy transfer, direct from the airport to the Luxembourg stop, then a 2 minute walk to the apartment.
May 22 2007The apartment was clean and bright and well-equipped - anything we could anticipate needing was there. A great location, central to everything, this apartment had the added bonus of a balcony with a great view. Even though this was a studio with only one bedroom, the living room was large enough to accommodate all four of us, sleeping two, and having enough room for gathering and eating. We found the apartment cozy and well-designed for the size.
The neighborhood was quiet and friendly, and right next to the Luxembourg Gardens, where my daughters went running every morning, before stopping in at the corner boulangerie for our daily croissants and baguettes! A great Paris experience - I'd recommend this apartment to anyone.
I have used your service twice and have been very pleased with the results. What I have found most helpful in making a decision was the extensive descriptions of the apartments and the many pictures. In terms of the most recent choice. My wife and daughter were the lucky ones to be there. They had a magical time and found their landlady to be extremely gracious and helpful. The apartment itself was beautiful and very well kept. I look forward to using you
Nov 01 2005again.
The apartment in Rue Royer-Collard is perfect in every angle: the view, the air, the light, the silence and the boulangerie nearby, make it an excellent option for an unforgettable stay in Paris.
