Neighborhood: This apartment is situated between Avenue Parmentier and rue Saint Maur. A mostly residential Parisian neighborhood, it has a pleasant atmosphere and is minutes from trendy Oberkampf street, which has a number of nice restaurants and cafes. To the northwest is the historic Place de la Republique, and to the east is the Père Lachaise cemetery where many celebrities - such as Chopin, Moliere, Oscar Wilde, and Jim Morrison -- are buried. A few metro stations away is the legendary Place de la Bastille with many entertainment options such as the new Opera House, cinemas, nice restaurants, and pubs. There are all sorts of conveniences in the neighborhood. Premises: This 54m² (approx. 580 sq. ft.) one-bedroom apartment is on the first French floor of a 19th century walk-up building equipped with a security system and an intercom. It has white walls, a parquet floor, 2.60m high ceilings, and windows overlooking a peaceful public garden and quiet street. Be aware that the walls and doors would need a fresh coat of paint. There is a little hall that has recessed shelves. Three windows draped with curtains brighten the 27m² (approx. 290 sq. ft.) double living room split by a charming archway. It is furnished with double size bed, an antique dining table, five director's chairs, two decorative fireplaces, a large wall mirror, a recessed closet, a stereo, and a telephone. A hammock is available. High-speed Internet access is available with a wireless connection. The 12m² (approx. 125 sq. ft.) bedroom is furnished with a 140cm wide double bed, a crib, a nightstand and lamp, bookshelves, a wicker chest, and a window with curtains and outside shutters overlooking a courtyard. There are also wardrobes hidden by a folding screen. The cherry red kitchen is equipped with two vitro ceramic burners and a stainless steel sink fitted on the L-shaped worktop, a multifunction oven, an electric kettle, a toaster, cupboards, tableware and other utensils, and a window. The refrigerator/freezer is located in a walk-in closet accessible from the entrance hall. The bathroom has a small bathtub screened by a synthetic curtain and a white ceramic washbasin. The toilet is separate. A washing machine is also available and located in the kitchen. The closest metro stations are Saint Maur (line 3), Saint Ambroise (line 9), and Parmentier (line 3).
