Artists' studio duplex apartment in trendy Montparnasse district

Neighborhood:
This apartment is located between the Boulevard Raspail and Boulevard du Montparnasse on a calm residential street in the trendy Montparnasse district. This was once the favorite neighborhood of artists called "Montparnos." The World Fair of 1889 and the artistic life already so rich in Montmartre had attracted many artists who then chose this popular district for its central location in Paris - i.e., Apollinaire, Gauguin, Matisse, Chagall, Modigliani, and Picasso. Two cafés were the engines of this movement -- the Dome and the Coupole - and creatives like Hemingway, Man Ray, Henry Miller, Cocteau, Sartre, and Simone de Beauvoir were regular clients. It is still possible to find traces of this artistic life there, in original architectural points of interest and some remaining artists' studios.
This apartment is in short walking distance to the very select Saint Germain des Près quarter and the famous Luxembourg Garden, one of the most attractive and historic districts of the Seine River's Left Bank.
Premises:

The 24m² (approx. 255 sq. ft.) contemporary style living room has a large bay window with brown and beige curtains and a view of the street. It is furnished with a corner sofa, three armchairs, a coffee table, shelves and a dining table with chairs.
The kitchen has white walls with white tiles, a salmon pink linoleum floor and a small window. It has sliding white cabinets, white shelves, two electric burners, a microwave oven, a dishwasher, a refrigerator, a coffee maker, a kettle and a toaster. It also has all the necessary utensils.
The 12m² (approx. 130 sq. ft.) mezzanine bedroom has white walls and beige wall-to-wall carpeting. It is furnished with a white a closet with wardrobe space, a double-size bed, shelves and a sideboard with an international cable TV, a VCR and a DVD player.
The bathroom has white painted walls with a brown tiled floor and there is a small window. It is equipped with a bathtub, a toilet topped by a white cabinet, a washbasin with a mirror, and white shelves. There is a combo washer/dryer in a built-in closet.
Heat and hot water are both collective.
The nearest metro station is Raspail (Line 4 & 6).
