A peculiar 3 bedrooms close the Place de la République
|
Set out by the Baron Haussmann in 1854, the Place de la Republique has in its center the 10m high' Republic statue, realized by Dalou in 1883, resting on a bronze base showing the events of that period's history. It was the baron who gave to Paris a new breadth, as before him it had the bad reputation of an insalubrious medieval city enclosing filthy narrow lanes. Very close the famous Place de la Bastille where the new Opera is considered one of the best in the world, it was inaugurated for the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution.
This neighborhood is provided with many choices of restaurants, cafes, and all sorts of convenience shops. The Republique neighborhood is very convenient for students and people who appreciate the art and crafts. It is also very central with quick access to every interesting points of Paris.
This 3-bedrooms apartment is located on the 4th French floor of a 20th century walk up building. The building entrance door is protected by a digicode, which opens on a large corridor.
An old wooden staircase gives access to the apartment and the layout is as followed.
The entrance door opens on a hallway with the toilet right away at the left, an open bathroom to the left (closed by white curtains) and the master bedroom straight ahead. Then by the right of this room, the corridor turns into a curvy shape and opens on he living room. The living room opens on the kitchen to its right and there is a door at the right of the kitchen that leads to a corridor. This corridor leads to the second bedroom to its left then to the third bedroom to the left as well and finally to the second bathroom straight ahead.
There is a walking-closet right away to the left of the living room.
The living room is quiet spacious and nicely arranged with a well balanced mixed of different furniture that gives a certain charm to this room. It is divided in two. One part is furnished with a sofa, a coffee table, a large desk, an armchair, lamps, plants and a modern colored rug; it is the more traditional part of the room. The second part has built-in bookshelves, a mattress on the floor that is used as a sofa, a traditional rug, a TV with VCR and DVD player, lamps and decorative items. This part of the room has a sort of an oriental atmosphere to it. The two windows are facing the street and have white curtains.
The master bedroom is in an eclectic easy to live style with its wooden floor, white painted walls, red window and colorful touches of decoration. It is furnished with a queen size futon bed; a computer with ADSL connection on a wooden desk with a chair with bookshelves upon it and a closet. The window faces a courtyard.
The first bathroom is accessible thru this bedroom. It is a nice colorful bathroom with white painted walls, a wooden floor, plants, is equipped with a shower and a washbasin with green tiles surmounted by a mirror.
The second bedroom is a child's bedroom. It has an original touch with its window with red curtains (facing the street) and zebra design wall-to-wall carpet. It is furnished with a single size mattress on the floor a closet, lamps toys and decorative items.
The third bedroom is typical teenager's bedroom with its posters, plants and multiple decorative items. There is a window (facing the street) with red curtains and it is furnished with a single size mattress on the floor. There is also a little desk and bookshelves.
The second bathroom is pleasant with its white and blue tiled walls. It is equipped with a bathtub, a single washbasin surmounted by a mirror. There is a toilet as well.
The kitchen is quiet large for a Parisian apartment. It is not only functional but also welcoming with its dining area and the spirit of its decoration. There are white and a red wooden cabinets, a window, shelves closed by colored curtains and a blue and black tiled floor. It is furnished with a wooden dining round table with matching chairs, a wooden dresser and all cooking appliances. There is an oven, a microwave oven, a dishwasher, a laundry machine, a refrigerator, a freezer, four vitro-ceramic burners and an espresso machine.
To conclude this apartment combines comfort and modernity. It is the ideal accommodation for a family trip to Paris.
