Studio apartment in the heart of the Marais
|
Neighborhood:
This apartment is located one-half block from the Pompidou Center (France's national museum of modern art) in the heart of Paris (the Marais).
The studio is in the vibrant pedestrian Beaubourg Quarter at the entry to the Marais. The neighborhood abounds in restaurants, cafes, galleries, shops, cinemas, and Paris' top jazz clubs. It is an easy walk to all of the Marais and its many museums, Notre Dame Cathedral, Les Halles, the pedestrian Montorgueil District, the Louvre, and many other sites.
At the corner along Rambuteau, there is a procession of green grocers, cheese shops, bakeries, wine shops, as well as butchers and fish markets. A grocery store is also on the corner.
Premises:
This 32m² (approx. 340 sq. ft.) studio apartment is located on the second floor (third in the USA) of a 20th century building equipped with an elevator. An intercom and a part time receptionist protect the main entrance gate. The studio has ten-foot ceilings, crown moldings, two tall French windows and hardwood floors. This apartment has a western exposure.
Layout:
The entrance door opens into a hallway which leads to the living room; to the left is the kitchen and to the right is the bathroom and toilet.
The 20m² (approx. 215 sq. ft.) living room has two windows overlooking the street. It is furnished with a queen-size sofa bed, a coffee table, a chest of drawers with a TV, a small table with a stereo and an alarm clock, a dining table with two matching chairs and two built-in closets.
The separate kitchen has four electric burners, a refrigerator/freezer, a full-size oven, a microwave, a kettle, a toaster and a coffee maker.
The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub and showerhead, a toilet, a bidet and a washbasin.
The Rambuteau (line 11) metro station is on the corner and within a five-minute walk are the Etienne-Marcel (line 4), Hotel de ville (Lines 1, 11), and Chatelet Les Halles (Lines 1,4, 7,11,14 RER A,B,D) metro stations. There are also bus lines nearby. The direct train from Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Airport stops at the Chatelet-Les Halles station, a five-minute walk from the apartment.
Heat and hot water use collective heating.
