Neighborhood: This apartment is located in a very popular area, the Marais. It is one of a number of Parisian neighborhoods that has preserved almost all of its pre-revolutionary architecture. Close by is the Georges Pompidou Cultural Center, also known as Beaubourg, Les Halles Mall, and the well-known pedestrian rue des Gravilliers, a residential and commercial street with greengrocers, fishmongers, and lovely restaurants and cafes. A little farther away is the royal Place des Vosges, with many residences of historic personalities. Also nearby are the Louvre, City Hall, and the Seine with its enchanting islands. Premises: This 25m² (approx. 265 sq. ft.) studio apartment with a southeastern exposure is located on the third floor (fourth in the USA) of an 18th century walk-up building. A coded security system and a concierge protect the main entrance gate. It opens onto a courtyard leading to the building, which is protected by an intercom. Layout: The entrance door opens onto the living room and the open kitchen. To the left is the bathroom with its toilet. The 11m² (approx. 115 sq. ft.) living room has one window overlooking the street. It is furnished with a double bed, two bedside tables with an alarm clock, a chair, two stools, a high-speed Internet connection, a phone, a stereo, a chest of drawers, a built-in closet, some shelves, some decorative items and a console with a cable flat screen TV. The open kitchen is equipped with two electric burners, a refrigerator/freezer, an oven, a coffee maker and a kettle. The bathroom has shower, a washbasin and a toilet. The nearest metro station is Rambuteau (L11). Heat and hot water are both electric and individually metered.
