Studio apartment near the Mouffetard Street

Neighborhood:
This apartment is located in the heart of the high-in-demand 5th Arrondissement near Rue Mouffetard, one of the oldest streets in Paris. It has a village-like atmosphere with its open-air markets, great choice of fruits, vegetables and other fine French products like cheeses and pastries. The street leads to the Place and the Church Saint Medard that was built in the 12th century. On the other side is the Place de la Contrescarpe, which is an ideal spot to stroll or have a drink at the terrace of a café in traditional Parisian style. Well-known writers such as Hemingway resided here. Nearby are the Arènes de Lutèce, the Pantheon, the College de France, the Sorbonne and Jussieu University, the Jardin des Plantes, the Institut du Monde Arabe, the Mosquée de Paris (with its beautiful traditional hamam baths, mint tea and pastries), the Jardin du Luxembourg and the Seine (with its traditional secondhand booksellers and delectable islands).
Premises:
This 21m² (approx. 225 sq. ft.) studio apartment is located on the first floor of a 17th century walk-up building. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded security system and is located on the courtyard accessible from the pedestrian street. The apartment has an eastern exposure, a parquet floor and exposed stone walls.
Layout:
The entrance door opens directly into the living room and the open kitchen. To the left of the entrance is the bathroom.
The 16m² (approx. 170 sq. ft.) living room has two double-glaze windows which overlook the pedestrian street and offer a view of the Church Saint Medard. It is furnished with a double-size bed, two wooden armchairs, a coffee table, a bistro table with chairs, a wooden antique-style closet and a wooden folding screen, which divides the living area into two parts. This room has a phone (restricted to receiving calls) and a stereo.
The open kitchen is equipped with two vitro-ceramic burners, a combo microwave/grill oven, a small refrigerator, a coffee maker, a toaster and a kettle.
The small bathroom has a shower stall, a washbasin and a toilette, which can be closed with a sliding wood door.
The nearest metro station is Censier Daubenton (line 7).
Heat and hot water are electric and are individually metered.
