Studio apartment in the heart of the Marais Area
|
Neighborhood:
A lively and historical area, Le Marais has a storied atmosphere due to its pre-Revolution architecture and a substantial number of points of interest such as museums, art galleries, design shops, and diverse, trendy bars and restaurants. Also in this area is the royal Place des Vosges, hailed for the harmony of its architecture and famous for being the residence of renowned French novelist Victor Hugo from 1832 to 1848.
Premises:
This 27m² (approx. 290 sq. ft.) alcove studio apartment is located on the second floor of an 18th century walk-up building. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded security system. This door opens into a narrow hallway with exposed stone walls leading to the second door protected by an intercom. This last door opens into an authentic, old-fashioned staircase. The apartment has a sisal floor in the living room and is decorated in a contemporary style.
Layout:
The entrance door opens into a corridor leading to the living room and the open kitchen straight ahead. The bathroom is accessible through the living room (bedroom area).
The 23m² (approx. 245 sq. ft.) living room is divided into two parts. The 15m² (approx. 160 sq. ft.) first one is a traditional living room. It has two windows overlooking the street with a southern exposure. It is furnished with a double-size sofa bed and a combo cable TV/DVD located in a recess. The modern style open kitchen has a tiled floor and is equipped with two vitro-ceramic burners, a cooker hood, a combo grill/microwave oven, a combo washer/dryer, a coffee maker, a kettle and a toaster.
The 8m² (approx. 85 sq. ft) second part of the living room is a bedroom area. It is separated from the living room by net curtains. It is furnished with a double-size bed, a desk with a chair and, in a recess, shelves and wardrobes hidden by a curtain. This part of the living room has a double-glazed window overlooking the street.
The bathroom is separated from the bedroom area by a sliding door. It is equipped with a washbasin, a shower and a toilet.
The nearest metro station is Saint Paul (line 1).
Heat and hot water are electric and are individually metered.
