One bedroom apartment located between St. Germain and the Luxembourg Garden
|
Neighborhood:
Set in one of the most attractive and historic areas of the Left Bank and parallel to the north side of the exceptional Luxembourg Garden and the Palais du Luxembourg, this street is in short walking distance to Saint Germain des Près, the Seine, and to the Quartier Latin. Nearby are the select open-air market of the rue Buci, and the famous Deux Magots and Café de Flore, both favorite haunts of existentialists and expatriated American literate back in the day. There are elegant boutiques, cinemas, fine restaurants, cafes, and all sorts of convenience shops in the neighborhood.
Premises:
This modern 37m² (approx. 395 sq. ft.) one-bedroom apartment is located on the second floor of a renovated (2006) building from the 18th century; it has an elevator. A coded security system and a part-time concierge protect the main entrance gate. It opens onto a nice courtyard with access to the building entrance, which is protected by a visio-intercom. The apartment has a double exposure: western in the living room and eastern in the bedroom. It also has a Wi-Fi Internet connection and a teak floor throughout, except in the bathroom and the toilet, which are tiled.
Layout:
The entrance door opens into a hall leading to the living room and the open kitchen on the left. On the right is the bedroom, and straight ahead are the bathroom and the separate toilet.
The 18m² (approx. 190 sq. ft.) living room has three double-glazed windows overlooking the courtyard. It is decorated in a contemporary style and is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, two armchairs, a coffee table, built-in shelves with a cable flat screen TV and a DVD player. There is also a dining table with chairs.
The open kitchen is stylish in a contemporary way. It is equipped with two vitro-ceramic burners topped by a cooker hood, a refrigerator/freezer, a dishwasher, a washing machine, an oven, a coffee maker and a toaster.
The 11m² (approx. 115 sq. ft.) bedroom has two double-glazed windows overlooking the courtyard. It is furnished with a double-size bed, two bedside tables, a desk and a built-in closet.
The designer bathroom is equipped with a shower and a washbasin.
The toilet is separate.
The nearest metro stations are Odeon (line 4 & 10) and Luxembourg (RER B).
Hot water is collective and heat is electric and individually metered.
