Two-bedroom apartment in the heart of the trendy Marais area

Neighborhood: The apartment is situated near the Georges Pompidou Cultural Center, also known as Beaubourg, with its various art galleries. This street is also very close to Les Halles Mall, which means it is about a 10-minute walk to the Louvre and the adjoining Royal Tuileries Garden, as well as to the Seine and its islands, Ile de la Cite and Ile Saint Louis. The neighborhood is located very close to the oldest house in Paris (built in 1407) in which the alchemists Nicolas and Pernelle Flamel lived. There is a lovely restaurant on the premises where patrons can dine in the same rooms where these famous alchemists and philanthropists once did. The facade of the building is essentially as it was 600 years ago, but the restaurant inside is much more modern. In addition to the French traditional and international restaurants and cafes, there are all sorts of services and conveniences in the neighborhood. Premises: This 81m² (approx. 870 sq. ft.) two-bedroom apartment is located on the third floor of an 18th century walk-up building. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded security system and opens into a corridor leading to an iron door with an intercom. The 25m² (approx. 265 sq. ft.) living room has three windows overlooking the courtyard with a northern exposure. It is decorated in an antique style and has a parquet floor. It is furnished with two sofas, two armchairs, a coffee table, a wooden folding dining table with chairs, a stereo and bookshelves. The contemporary style open kitchen is separated from the living room by a bar. It is equipped with four gas burners, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a refrigerator, a freezer, a washing machine, a toaster and a coffee maker. The 14m² (approx. 150 sq. ft.) first bedroom has a double-glazed window with curtains that opens onto the street with a southern exposure. It is furnished with twin beds that can be turned into a queen-size bed, and a bedside table.. The communicating 14m² (approx. 150 sq. ft.) second bedroom has a double-glazed window with the same view and the same exposure as the first bedroom. It is furnished with two twin size beds, an aquarium, a table with two chairs, a cable TV with a VCR and a DVD player, and a WIFI connection to internet is available (computer on demand). The tiled bathroom has a bathtub with a showerhead and two washbasins. The separate toilet has a window and a washbasin. The nearest metro stations are Arts et Métiers (line 3) and Rambuteau (line 11). Heat and hot water use gas and are individually metered.
