Modern style studio in the Montparnasse area

Neighborhood:
Situated in a mostly residential, traditional Parisian district, this apartment is close to the Montparnasse area, which has a number of charming squares and all sorts of boutiques, as well as restaurants, pleasant cafes, open-air markets, supermarkets, and convenience shops. Montparnasse is known for Paris' tallest office tower, the Tour Montparnasse, and for its theatre district around Rue de la Gaîée. This area borders the famous Sixth Arrondissement, where there are nice fashion shops and other diverse restaurants and cafes. It is also close to Invalides with the sprawling 18th century buildings of the Ecole Militaire, and the Parc du Champs de Mars, which stretches down to the Eiffel Tower and the Seine.
Premises:
This 27m² (approx. 290 sq. ft.) studio apartment is located on the fourth floor (fifth in the USA) of a 1976 building. The main entrance gate, protected by a coded security system, opens into a corridor leading to another door with an intercom; this leads to the elevator. The apartment is decorated in a contemporary style and has a brown sisal wall-to-wall carpet.
The 17m² (approx. 180 sq. ft.) main room has a double-glazed sliding door, which accesses a balcony overlooking a nice courtyard with a southern exposure. The main room is furnished with a queen-size sofa bed, a dining table with two chairs, a cabinet and shelves with a flat screen cable TV, DVD player, stereo and phone.
The open kitchen is separated from the living room by a bar with stools. It is equipped with two induction plates, a small refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a small dishwasher, a combo microwave/grill/rotating oven, a coffee maker, a kettle, and a toaster.
The bathroom is accessible through the living room and contains a bathtub, a washbasin, a combo washer/dryer and an electric towel-drying rack.
In the entrance hallway, there are two built-in closets containing an iron, a vacuum cleaner and an ironing board.
Heat and hot water are collective with the building.
The nearest metro stations are Pasteur (lines 6 and 12) and Volontaire (line 12); it is also close to four bus lines (88, 70, 89, 39).
