One-bedroom apartment in Grands Boulevards area

Neighborhood: This apartment is located on Grands Boulevards just a few steps from the Porte Saint Martin and the Porte Saint Denis, two triumphal arches erected in the 17th century to celebrate major French victories; they have been recently cleaned and restored. This is one of those traditional, popular districts of Paris, where one can find a great mix of communities and cultures. It offers the opportunity to explore the Grands Boulevards (composed of boulevards named de la Madeleine, des Italiens, St-Martin, des Capucines, Montmartre, Poissonnière, St-Denis, Bonne-Nouvelle), where all the major department stores are as well as many cinemas, theaters, cafes and restaurants. The apartment is just a short metro ride from the Opera Garnier and the Place de la République. Premises: This 54m² (approx. 580 sq. ft.) one-bedroom apartment is located on the fourth floor of a building constructed in the beginning of the 20th century; it has a coded security system. The main entrance gate opens into a corridor leading to a second door with a second coded security system. This gate opens into the staircase. The apartment is the only one on the fourth floor. A high-speed wireless Internet connection is available. The entrance door opens into a corridor leading to the living room, the separate kitchen and the toilette. The 30m² (approx. 320 sq. ft.) living room is divided into two parts; the 17m² (approx. 180 sq. ft.) first part is a traditional living area with two double-glazed windows with a southern exposure and overlooking the street. It is furnished with a double-size futon sofa bed, a dining table with chairs, a small cable TV, a stereo, a decorative fireplace and some built-in shelves. The 13m² (approx. 140 sq. ft.) second part has a double-glazed window overlooking as well the street; it is furnished with a glass desk and a chair, some chests of drawers, built-in bookshelves and some closets. The 13m² (approx. 135 sq. ft.) bedroom has a window with a western exposure overlooking a courtyard. It is furnished with a double-size bed and a bedside table, a built-in closet and a chest of drawers. This bedroom has access to the private bathroom. The bathroom has a bathtub and a washbasin; it has also a small window. The separate kitchen has a window; it is equipped with a combo stove/dishwasher, a microwave, a refrigerator, a toaster, a kettle and a washing machine. The separate toilette has also a washbasin. Heat and hot water are both electric and individually metered. The nearest metro station is Strasbourg Saint Denis (Lines 4, 8, 9).
