Neighborhood: Situated on rue Mazarine in the Saint Germain des Près area, between rue Dauphine and rue Guénégaud, this furnished apartment is located in one of the most attractive and historic areas of the Left Bank, the world famous Saint Germain des Près. It features the latest fashion shops and the famous cafés, Deux Magots and Café de Flore, both known as favorite haunts of existentialists and expatriated American literary figures back in the day. It also houses the oldest restaurant in Paris, Le Procope, with French traditional specialties and excellent fresh seafood (patronized by Voltaire in the 18th century) and the charming Buci open-air market. The area around this accommodation is also known for its numerous famous art galleries. Premises: This 70m² (approx. 750 sq. ft.) two-bedroom apartment is located on the fourth floor of an 18th century building with an elevator. The entrance gate, protected by a coded security system, opens into a courtyard where a second door, with a coded security system and magnetic key, leads to the elevator. The apartment entrance opens directly into the living room. A corridor leads to the two bedrooms, their private bathrooms, and the separate kitchen. The 24m² (approx. 255 sq. ft.) living room with exposed beams and wood walls has two double-glazed windows with eastern exposure overlooking the street. Please note that this apartment, though on the 4th floor, resides nearby a nightclub, which is on the street level, and may sometimes be noisy. Heat and hot water are both gas. For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro stations are Odeon (lines 4,10) and St. Germain des Près (line 4).
