Modern loft apartment between Republique and Nation places

Neighborhood:
This furnished apartment is in a typical Parisian residential neighborhood located a few steps from the grand Place de la Republique and the legendary Place de la Bastille, home to many forms of entertainment including the Opera House, cinemas, restaurants, and pubs. It is also close to the Père Lachaise cemetery where a number of famous people are buried, such as Jim Morrison. All sorts of convenience shops are easily found near this accommodation as well.
The neighborhood is near the Marais area, which has a special atmosphere because of its pre-Revolutionary architecture, its exclusivity and its proximity to so many of Paris' famous monuments and sights. It includes a substantial number of points of interest such as the royal Place de Vosges, the home of Victor Hugo (at number 6), and the Beaubourg area and Pompidou Center, one of the city's most visible structures and its museum for modern art. There are art galleries, design shops, a diversity of trendy bars and restaurants, and other types of essential shops and services in the neighborhood.
Premises:
This 55m² (approx. 590 sq. ft.) loft apartment is located on the fourth floor (fifth in the USA) of an 18th century walk-up building. The main gate is protected by a coded security system and opens into a corridor leading to a second door with a coded system.
The entrance door opens into a corridor shared with a second apartment; it is equipped with a combo washer/dryer in a recess hidden by a curtain.
This corridor leads to the loft entrance, which requires a key for access. This opens into the open kitchen and, behind it, the spacious main room with a wood floor and three large double-glazed windows overlooking the street with western exposure.
This open space is divided into two parts. The 25m² (approx. 265 sq. ft.) first one is the living room furnished with modern furniture such as a leather sofa, a coffee table and rectangular dining table with two benches. It is also equipped with a plasma TV, a DVD player, a stereo and a high-speed DSL Internet connection (a wireless connection is also available).
The 10m² (approx. 105 sq. ft.) second part is the sleeping area, which can be separated from the rest of the apartment by curtains. It is furnished with a queen-size bed, a bedside table, built-in closets and a small flat screen TV.
The modern open kitchen is equipped with four vitro-ceramic burners topped by a cooker hood, a refrigerator, a freezer, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher and a coffee maker.
The small bathroom has a wood floor and walls. It contains a washbasin with a mirror, a shower and a toilette.
The apartment is also equipped with a mobile air-conditioner system, an iron, an ironing board, a vacuum, a hairdryer and an extra auto-inflatable single-size bed.
Heat and hot water are electric and individual.
For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro stations are Republique (lines 3,5,8,9,11) and Filles du Calvaire (line 8).
