Neighborhood: This furnished one-bedroom apartment is situated on Avenue de la Bourdonnais between Avenue de la Motte Piquet and Rue du Champs de Mars. Everything in the area of Invalides is on a monumental scale, starting from the sprawling 18th century buildings of the Ecole Militaire and the Parc du Champs de Mars stretching down to the Eiffel Tower and the Seine. The avenues around the Tower are lined with luxurious buildings, some in the Art Nouveaux style, and numerous embassies. The Eiffel Tower, originally built to impress visitors to the Universal Exhibition of 1889, was meant to be temporary and now is the symbol of Paris. There are all sorts of shops near this accommodation, including the colorful and exclusive street market on Rue Cler. Premises: This 48m² (approx. 515 sq. ft.) one-bedroom apartment is located on the fifth floor of a 19th century building with an elevator. The entrance gate, protected by a coded security system, opens into a hall where a second door with a coded system and a key leads to the staircase and elevator area. The apartment entrance opens into a hall, which links the living room, the separate kitchen, the separate toilette, a built-in closet, the bedroom and its private bathroom. The 22m² (approx. 235 sq. ft.) living room has two double-glazed windows with western exposure overlooking the street. It is furnished with a double-size sofa, two armchairs, a coffee table, a dining table with chairs, bookshelves with a TV, a DVD player and a stereo, and a desk and chair. The 13m² (approx. 135 sq. ft.) bedroom has a double-glazed window with eastern exposure overlooking a courtyard. It is furnished with a double-size bed, bedside tables, built-in closets, and a chest of drawers with a TV. The bedroom has a private bathroom, which has a bathtub topped by a showerhead, a washbasin, a towel dryer, a bidet and a washing machine. The separate kitchen has a window and is equipped with four induction plates with a cooker hood, an oven, a microwave, a combo refrigerator/freezer, a coffee maker, a kettle and a toaster. There is also a dishwasher. There is also a separate toilette. Heat and hot water are gas. For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro station is Ecole Militaire (line 8).
