Studio apartment in the heart of the Quartier Latin
|
Neighborhood:
Situated between the Rue Pot de Fer and the Rue Thouin, this furnished apartment is in the heart of the Latin Quarter in Paris. This is a lively and commercial street neighboring the biggest Paris university, Jussieu, and situated very close to the Arenes de Lutece, the Roman arena of the ancient city where circus games took place in the past. This accommodation is about five minutes walking distance from the Museum of Natural History with its numerous gardens and animals, the Pantheon, which contains the remains of many great French men, and a Mosque. The area abounds with restaurants, pubs, cinemas, and all sorts of services.
Premises:
This building dates from the 17th century and has two gates with security codes at the entrance. The last gate opens into a corridor, which has kept its original feel, and leads to a courtyard and the apartment entrance.
This studio is 20m² (approx. 215 sq. ft.) and is located on the ground floor; it is south exposed. The floor is tiled and there are wooden ceiling beams.
The 15m² (approx.160 sq. ft.) living space is furnished with a double-size sofa bed, a cabinet, a dining table with chairs and a console with a small TV and a phone (restricted to incoming calls).
Accessible through the living room, the kitchen is equipped with two electric plates topped by a cooker hood, a small refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee machine, a kettle and a stainless steel sink.
The bathroom is fitted with a bathtub with a showerhead, a washbasin with a mirror and a toilette.
Heat and hot water are electric and individual.
For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro stations are Jussieu (lines 7 and 10) and Place Monge (line 7).
