Neighborhood:
The apartment is on a mostly pedestrian street in the very select Saint Germain des Près quarter, more precisely the Saint Germain des Prés and Saint Michel neighborhood, in walking distance to Notre Dame and Ile Saint Louis. One of the most attractive and historic districts of the Seine River's Left Bank, it is home to historic cafes such as Les Deux Magots and Café de Flore, favorite haunts of some of the early French existentialists and expatriate American writers. Nearby is the Rue de Buci, which features an open-air market.
Premises:
This 30m² (approx. 320 sq. ft.) one-bedroom apartment is located on the ground floor of an 18th century building. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded system and opens into a long corridor with stone walls that leads to the apartment door and a courtyard.
The apartment entrance opens directly into the 13m² (approx. 135 sq. ft.) living room, which has a tiled floor and two windows with iron exterior shutters overlooking the courtyard. It is furnished with a round dining table with chairs, lamps, a console with a small cable TV and a queen-size sofa bed that can be used as a guest bed.
The living room provides access to the 9m² (approx. 95 sq. ft.) bedroom, which is furnished with a double-size bed and a cabinet. There is no window.
The bedroom is connected to the bathroom and the separate kitchen.
The kitchen is equipped with two gas burners, a small refrigerator, a microwave, a kettle, a coffee maker and a toaster. It also has a glass roof.
The bathroom is fitted with a bathtub with a showerhead, a washbasin and a toilette.
The apartment is also equipped with a vacuum, an iron and an ironing board.
The owner can provide baby accessories (bed, chair, etc.) upon request.
Heat and hot water use gas and are individual.
A Wifi internet connection is available.
For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro stations are odean (lines 4, 10) and St. Michel (line 4 and RER B).
