Modern one-bedroom apartment near Beaubourg

Neighborhood: This apartment is located between Beaubourg and Republique on a calm little street in the Marais area. Very close by is the Georges Pompidou -- a large cultural center famous for its architecture -- as well as City Hall, the Seine, the Louvre, and the famous pedestrian Rue des Gravilliers, a residential and commercial street with nice greengrocers, fishmongers, and restaurants. There are all sorts of shops, bars, and supermarkets near this accommodation. Premises: This 40m² (approx. 430 sq. ft.) one-bedroom apartment is located in an 18th century walk-up building renovated in 2006. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded system and opens into a corridor with a second door that has an intercom. This leads to the original 18th century staircase. The apartment has double-glazed windows and exposed ceiling beams in each room. The entrance door opens into a corridor leading to the living room straight ahead, and to the separate toilette and the bathroom to the right. The bathroom is accessed through the bedroom. The 20m² (approx. 215 sq. ft.) living room has a parquet floor and two windows with curtains that overlook the street. It is furnished with a sofa, a coffee table, armchairs, a desk with a computer and shelves. There is also, in a recess, a round dining table with chairs. This room is equipped with a TV, a VCR, a DVD player and a stereo. The open kitchen is equipped with two vitro-ceramic plates topped by a cooker hood, a refrigerator, a freezer, a combo microwave/oven, a combo washer/dryer, a coffee maker and a kettle. The 13m² (approx. 135 sq. ft.) bedroom has a parquet floor and a window with curtains, which overlooks a small courtyard. It is furnished with a queen-size bed, two bedside tables and, hidden by a sliding mirror, a built-in closet. The designer bathroom is accessed through the bedroom. The sliding mirror can also close this opening. It is fitted with a shower and a washbasin. The separate toilette has a small washbasin. The apartment is equipped with a vacuum, an iron and a hairdryer. A highspeed internet connection is available. Heat and hot water are electric and individual. For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro station is Arts et Métiers (lines 3 and 11).
