Neighborhood: This apartment is located on Rue de Metz, a small street between Boulevard de Strasbourg and Rue du Faubourg Saint Denis. Just a few steps from the Porte Saint Martin and the Porte Saint Denis, two triumphal arches erected in the 17th century to celebrate major French victories; they have been recently cleaned and restored. This is one of those traditional, popular districts of Paris, where one can find a great mix of communities and cultures. It offers the opportunity to explore the Grands Boulevards (composed of boulevards named de la Madeleine, des Italiens, St-Martin, des Capucines, Montmartre, Poissonnière, St-Denis, Bonne-Nouvelle), where all the major department stores are, as well as many cinemas, theaters, cafes and restaurants. The apartment is just a short metro ride from the Opera Garnier and the Place de la République. Premises: This 45m² (approx. 485 sq. ft.) one-bedroom apartment is located on the 3rd floor of a building with elevator constructed at the beginning of the 20th century. The main entrance gate, protected by an intercom, opens into a hall leading to the stairs. There is a concierge in the building. The entrance door opens into a small hall (with a built in closet) leading to the living room, the bedroom, the separate kitchen and the toilet. The 13m² (approx. 140 sq. ft.) living room has a parquet floor and 2 double glazed French windows (with a view on the street), which give access to a balcony. It is furnished with a dining table and 4 chairs and a double size sofa bed. It is also equipped with a cable TV and a DVD player. It connects to the bathroom. The 12m² (approx. 130 sq. ft.) bedroom has 2 double glazed French windows with a north exposure overlooking a street and which give access to a balcony. It is furnished with a double-size bed, an additional single bed, a bedside table and a cupboard. The bathroom has a shower and a washbasin. The separate kitchen has a window with a balcony; it is equipped with 2 electric plates topped by an exhaust fan, a microwave, a refrigerator, an oven, a toaster, a kettle, a coffee maker and a washing machine.It also has a marble table with 2 stools. The separate toilet has a washbasin, a bidet and a window. Heat and hot water are both electric and collective. Internet access is available. The nearest metro station is Strasbourg Saint Denis (Lines 4, 8, 9).
