Neighborhood: This furnished apartment is at walking distance from the Place de la Bastille where the Opera de la Bastille, considered one of the best opera houses in the world, is located. It is within walking distance to the royal Place des Vosges, the oldest and most beautiful square in Paris and the former place of residence of many historic personalities. Built by Henri IV, its perfect symmetry and verticality are fine examples of classical French architecture. This area is also known for its museums, art galleries and antique shops. In the immediate vicinity of this accommodation are numerous shops, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, and the well-known Parisian market, Rue Richard Lenoir (Thursday and Sunday mornings). The apartment is also near the Marais, a fashionable old Parisian neighborhood. Premises: This 140m² (approx.1505 sq. ft.) four-bedroom apartment is on the 3rd floor of a 17th century walk up building. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded system and opens into a corridor that leads to the staircase. The 25m² (approx. 270 sq. ft.) living room has a tiled floor and two double-glazed windows with curtains that overlook the street. It is furnished with a single-size sofa bed, a coffee table, armchairs, a wooden desk and a decorative fireplace. It is also equipped with a stereo. The dining room has a parquet floor and two windows overlooking a courtyard. It is furnished with a dining table with chairs, a piano, a sofa, a console with a TV, a VCR and a DVD player. The seperate kitchen is spacious and has a dining table. It is equipped with 4 electric plates topped by an exhaust fan, an oven, a microwave, a kettle, a coffee maker, a toaster, a dishwasher, a refrigerator and a freezer. The 16m² (approx. 170 sq. ft.) master bedroom has a double-glazed window that faces a courtyard. It has a tiled floor. It is furnished with a double-size bed, bedside tables and a built-in closet. The other bedrooms have both a double glazed window with a view on a courtyard. The 12 m² (approx.130 sq. ft.) second bedroom has a parquet floor and is furnished with a single size bed, a small wooden desk and toys. The 12m² third bedroom has a single size bed, closets and a small desk. The 12m² fourth bedroom has a wall to wall carpet floor, a mezzanine with a single size bed, a closet and a desk. The bathroom contains a bathtub, a shower and a washbasin. The laundry has a washing machine. The toilet is seperate. Internet access is available. Heat and hot water use gas and are individual. For convenient travel around Paris, the nearest metro stations are Ledru-Rollin (line 8) and Bastille (lines 1,5,8).
