Neighborhood: This furnished one bedroom apartment is located on Rue Bichat between Rue de la Grange aux Belles and Quai de Jemmapes. Eight broad boulevards run from La Madeleine to the Place de la Republique. The Grands Boulevards are lined with 19th century buildings and used to be the center of "café" and theatre life in the 18th and 19th centuries. They offer restaurants, bars, and the most known and elegant Parisian department stores, markets and cinemas. The old-fashioned charm of the iron footbridges, survives along the old industrial Canal St- Martin, preserving the tree-lined quays, the inevitable fisherman, the river barges and the still waters of the broad canal basins. There are all sorts of essential shops and services in the neighborhood. The open kitchen is equipped with four vitro-ceramic plates topped by an exhaust fan, an oven, a microwave, a refrigerator, a freezer, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a kettle, a mixer and a toaster. There is also a washing machine and a little bar with chairs. The 10m2 (approx 107 sq ft) bedroom has a window with northern exposure overlooking the street. It is furnished with a double size bed, a bedside table, a chest of drawers and a built in closet in the corridor with leads to the bathroom. The bathroom has a bathtub topped by a showerhead, a washbasin and a heated towel rack. There is also a separate toilet with washbasin. Heat and hot water are both electric. For convenient travel around Paris the nearest metro stations are Jacques Bonsergent (line 5), Goncourt (line 11), Colonel Fabien (line 2) and Gare de l'Est (lines 4,5 and 7).
