Situated near the thoroughfare intersection of the rue du Cherche-Midi and the Boulevard Raspail, this location puts you in a central part of the 6th Arrondissement of Paris, not far from the Jardin du Luxembourg. The building dates from the beginning of the 20th century, but benefits from modernization, and includes elevator service and a digicode system at the entrance of the building. The apartment itself is on the 4th floor (equivalent to the 5th American floor), and even includes a small balcony!

There is a small park just two blocks away, but if you really want to picnic or feel like you're in nature, you must visit the Jardin du Luxembourg, a bit further at 750 meters away (about .5 miles). On the other side of this park is a popular tourist destination: the Panthéon, a monument that is the last resting place of famous French people such as Voltaire, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Jean Moulin, Emile Zola and Victor Hugo. The 6th arrondissment was historically home to the existentialist movement, so you will see many famous names throughout the Saint-germain Des Pres / St. Michel area on shops, streets and buildings.

For exploring the rest of Paris, you won't have to go far to hop on the metro, and you have three different lines to choose from! The Sèvres-Babylone station is closest, serving the 10 and 12 lines, and the Saint-Sulpice station is not much further (just 500 meters/.3 miles from the apartment), giving you access to line 4.
