Paris Accommodation 2 Bedroom Rental in Montorgueil (PA-4300)

Located on the top floor of a 6-story (7th in US) pre-war elevator building at Rue Saint-Denis & Rue Saint-Sauveur, this Montorgueil two bedroom vacation rental is in one of the most centrally located parts of the 2nd arrondissement of Paris. Hardwood floors and exposed beams keep with the historic charm of the apartment while modern features like all-white walls and contemporary furniture keep it bright and inviting. Enter the accommodation in the living and dining area of the kitchen where the open kitchen is located. In the living area of the room you will find a sectional sofa and armchairs situated around a Lucite coffee table. Across from the sofa is a flat screen television that has cable access and a DVD player. The far wall of this room, made mostly up of windows, is also where you can access to the balcony that overlooks the street.

Back closer the entrance to this room you will notice that there is a dining table with seating for four, plus a breakfast bar/counter with two stools that look into the kitchen. The sleek kitchen has a 4-burner stove, regular oven, coffee maker and a dishwasher. There are also any appliances you would need to prepare meals in the apartment.

If you head to the other end of the vacation rental you will find the two bedrooms, bathroom and WC. On your right is the all white bathroom that features a tub with shower, modern-style sink that sits upon a countertop and in front of a full wall mirror. There is a towel warming rack in the room as well. Straight back in the hallway is where the WC for the apartment can be found.

In the back right corner is Bedroom 1, which has a queen size bed, closet with mirrors on the door, and windows that overlook the inner courtyard. In the back left corner is where Bedroom 2 can be found. This room has a double size sofa bed, desk, and the same courtyard view as Bedroom 1.

Outside the two bedroom you find yourself in the Montorgueil section of Paris, most famous for its pedestrian-only historic streets lined with fruit and vegetable stands, butcher shops, bakeries and cheese stores. If you are looking for some traditional and authentic French food, look no farther than some famous spots here! Head to Maison Stohrer, a pastry shop that opened in 1730 and has become famous for its Baba au Rhum (rum soaked cake) and Religieuse (cream puffs with flavored pastry cream). For oysters try Au Rocher de Cancale, an establishment that opened its doors in 1846, or the typical French delicacy escargot at L'Escargot Montorgueil. For what many claim to be the best cup of onion soup go to Au Pied de Cochon, a 24-hour brasserie that is also known for its namesake dish, grilled pigs feet with béarnaise sauce.

Nearby attractions of the area include le Bourse de Paris, the historical Paris stock exchange. Chatelet-Les Halles, Eglise Saint-Eustache, and Jardin du Palais Royal are within walking distance or a short metro ride. For more shopping and dining options the Sentier area is a popular destination.

To travel around the rest of Paris there are a few stations in the area that provide service in various directions. Réaumur Sébastopol station (160 m / 0.1 mi) gives access on the 4, 8 and 9 lines and Strasbourg-Saint-Denis station (320 m / 0.2 mi) is on the 3 and 4 lines. Transfer to Châtelet - Les Halles, the main transportation hub, is just 2 or 3 stops south on the 4 line.
