Appealing one bedroom in the Bastille area
|
Just beside Place de la Bastille, between Rue de la Roquette and Rue Sedaine.
Located on the 2nd French floor of a prewar 20th century walk-up building (renovated in 2003) having a security system, this apartment is neatly appealing. Mostly east exposed and facing the street its 65m2 surface is composed of white walls, a well kept parquet floor, and double glazed windows, most of them on the street side. It has accommodation for 2 people.
There are double glass windows.
Bright and cleverly divided in two parts separated by a half wall the 26m2 living room is placed at the left side of the entrance. On one side it has a sofa with consoles and nice lamps on both sides, and three 1960' style armchairs around a glass square coffee table. A large built in bookcase with a Hi Fi stereo, a telephone, and wall mounted lamps is opposite to the Home video (TV with cable, DVD player, and VCR) and to the window with beige curtains. On the other side is a round wooden dinning table with four design sea green plastic chairs, a non-working ceramic fireplace, another large built in bookcase, and a window.
A corridor leads to the separated restroom, to the bathroom, and to the comfortable bedroom.
Fit out with a king size bed between two lamps, one of them settled on a black bedside table, the 14m2 bedroom also has a large floor to ceiling closet, a very nice light brown marble fireplace (unusable), a mobile clothes hanging bar, a desk and a window with curtains.
Garnished with tasteful design fittings the all white tiled bathroom contains a sizeable shower cabin with a wall mounted massage showerhead, a sea green washbasin, a washing machine and a drying machine, as well as a small cabinet and a window. A wall partially made of sea green glass bricks separates it from the independent restroom. A phone is also install in the room.
Close to the main door the roomy white painted kitchen has a pleasurable varnished worktop with a stainless steel sink surrounded by dark blue tiles, and a light blue and yellow tiled floor. It comprises three vitro ceramic burners, a hood with exhaust fan, a traditional electric oven, a fridge/freezer,a microweave and a dishwasher. There is also an espresso coffee maker, a toaster, many cupboards containing utensils, a tiny wall mounted table, 6 to 8 chairs available, and a window on the courtyard side.
An internet access is also available in the apartment.
Just beside the broad and historic Place de la Bastille where is the new Opera considered as one of the best in the world, inaugurated for the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution, also in a short walking distance is the singular royal Place des Vosges. Paris' oldest and arguably most beautiful square having been the place of residence of many historic personalities, built by Henri IV its perfect symmetry and verticality are fine examples of classical French architecture. In another hand there are many precious museums, arts galleries, and antique shops. Many choice restaurants, cafes, and all sorts of shops are in the neighborhood.
The closest metros are Bastille (lines 1, 5, and 8), and Brèguet Sabin (line5).
