Right in the heart of Montmartre between Rue des Abbesses and Rue Lepic.
This charming 45m2 two bedroom apartment is located on the fourth French floor of a walk up building from the 19th century facing east and west, having a security code system. The apartment can accommodate two adults and two children.
The layout is as follows: main entry leads to the bathroom to the left, the living room/ open kitchen are to the right and the children's bedroom is straight up from the main entry. The décor is mostly modern with a few antique pieces. The living-room opens on the adult bedroom (the room has no door, it's opened on the living-room, separated with a curtain).
The 16m2 living room/open kitchen has a lamp, a writing desk; There is also a second desk with an antique finish, a TV, a stereo system, a telephone, paintings and other decorative items. The walls are off-white, the floor has parquet and there is a window with a nice view of Paris.
The kitchen area is furnished with a gas stove 3-burners with bottom oven, a small fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, an old style toaster and a single sink. There is a corner shelf, a round wooden dinning table with three chairs and shelves over the counter containing the necessary kitchen utensils. The walls are off-white and the floor has parquet.
The 10m2 bedroom has a queen size bed, two corners built in shelves, a marble fireplace (not in service) with mirror above it, paintings and other decorative items. The walls are off-white, the floor has parquet and there is a window with a nice view of Paris.
The 14m2 bedroom has a wooden baby bed, bookshelves, a reading lamp, a chair, a chest of drawers, a built in closet and a marble fireplace (not in service) with mirror above it. The walls are off-white, the floor has parquet and there is a window with fabric curtains with a view of the windmill le Moulin de la Galette.
The bathroom has a bathtub with a manual showerhead, a sink with mirror above it and a bottom shelf, an electric towel rack, a washing machine and a toilet. The walls and floors have tiles; there is a sliding door from the entry hall finely painted and a second door from the children's bedroom. The ceiling is painted to reflect the sky and there is a window full of plants giving it a Mediterranean atmosphere
The district of Montmartre and art are inseparable, at the end of the 19th century the area was a Mecca for artists, writers and poets. Montmartre maintains its physical charm and the village atmosphere remains remarkably intact. The Moulin de la Galette can be seen from the apartment's window, this windmill was built in 1622 and was used for grinding wheat and pressing grapes. At the end of the century the mill became a famous dance hall and provided inspiration for artists like Renoir and Van Gogh. One of Paris's most picturesque squares is the Place des Abbesses with its original Art Nouveau metro station. There are all sorts of essential shops and services in the neighborhood like the fruit and vegetable market situated on Rue Lepic.
The closest metro station is Abbesses (line 12).
