Attractive Studio apartment in les Halles
|
Neighborhood:
This is a small, furnished studio apartment in Les Halles between Rue Dussoubs and Rue Montorgueil. All roads round Les Halles resolutely lead to the Beaubourg area and the Pompidou Centre, an avant-garde structure and one of Paris' most visible buildings. Les Halles was known for its meat, vegetable and fruit market dating back to 1183, but traffic congestion forced the market to move to the suburbs in the 1960s. The Rue Montorgueil is what remains of the old Les Halles market; it has been restored to its former glory. There are all sorts of essential shops and services in the neighborhood around this accommodation.
Premises:
This 20m² (approx. 215 sq. ft.) studio is located on the fourth floor of a walk-up building (no elevator) from the late 16th century; it has a security code system and a concierge and is north exposed. The main entry leads to the kitchen on the right, the bathroom on the left and the living room/bedroom straight ahead. The décor is modern with nice matching fabrics and linens.
Most of the walls are off white with wood beam ceilings and parquet floors. The kitchen has white tiles around the walls and blue tiles on the floor. The bathroom has mini light blue tiles around the walls and blue tiles on the floor.
The 15m² (approx. 160 sq. ft.) living room/bedroom is furnished with a double bed and an inflatable bed with an electric pump. There is a small wooden desk, a chair, a floor lamp, two blue armchairs, two matching wall lamps, a small TV, and a fireplace (out of service). There are two windows with fabric curtains, an area rug and a small closet with an upper shelf. There is no telephone.
The separate kitchen is equipped with an inlaid electric two-burner hotplate, a small refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee maker, an electric kettle and a stainless steel sink. There are a few shelves and small baskets containing some kitchen utensils.
The bathroom has a bathtub with a manual shower over the wall protected by a glass screen, a sink, a single shelf, a mirror, a towel rack and a toilet.
Internet, phone and cable TV are available. Linens are provided. Heat and hot water are electric.
For convenient travel around Paris, the closest metro station is Etienne Marcel (line 4) and Reamur Sebastopol (lines 3 and 4).
