Nice two bedroom apartment in the heart of Paris
|
This apartment is located on the Grands Boulevards just a few steps from the Porte Saint Martin and the Porte Saint Denis, two triumphal arches erected in the 17th century to celebrate major French victories and recently cleaned and restored. This is one of those traditional, popular districts of Paris, where one can find a great mix of communities and cultures. It offers the opportunity to explore the Grands Boulevards (composed of boulevards named de la Madeleine, des Italiens, St-Martin, des Capucines, Montmartre, Poissonnière, St-Denis, Bonne-Nouvelle), where all the major department stores are as well as many cinemas, cafes and restaurants. The apartment is just a short metro ride from the Opera Garnier.
This two-bedroom 94m2 (approx. 1,010 sq.ft.) apartment faces north. It is located in a Haussmann-styled building situated on one of Paris' large and busy boulevards. The apartment is on the fourth floor (fifth floor in the USA) in a building with an elevator, a concierge and a coded security system. The elevator is accessible by a short flight of stairs or directly via the service entrance at the rear of the building.
The apartment is spacious and elegantly furnished with lovely decorative touches. It has soft yellow sponge-painted wallpaper, herringbone pattern wood floors, and lead glass windows. The furniture is eclectic but mostly antique.
There is a double living room, which on one side has a sofa, a coffee table, armchairs, antique pieces of furniture, a wooden dining table with four chairs, a rest sofa and Oriental rugs. This room is equipped with cable TV, a VCR and a stereo.
A high speed connection is available.
The other living room area is decorated with a dresser, lustrous curtains, and double-glaze windows from which one can see the Sacré Coeur Basilica.
The first bedroom has a double bed, a mirrored armoire, a desk and a double-glaze window with a small balcony.
The second bedroom has a single bed and an extension of a single bed that can be placed at the same level; it also has a window.
Linens and blankets are provided.
The kitchen is equipped with four induction burners, an electric oven, a microwave, a refrigerator/freezer, a coffee maker, a toaster, and a dishwasher. Dishes, stemware, cutlery, pots and pans are provided. A washing machine and dryer are installed in a little storage room.
The bathroom has a separate shower and bathtub.
There is central heating. The restroom is separate.
The closest subway station is Bonne Nouvelle (lines 8 and 9) just in front of the building's entrance and the Strasbourg St Denis metro station (line 4) is a short walk away.
