Next to the famous Le Bon Marché department store, this comfortable, furnished apartment is in the heart of the Saint-Germain des Prés area and is easy walking distance from the Jardin du Luxembourg. The neighborhood is known for its elegant, trendy streets and for its stylish fashion shops, traditional mall, antique shops, art galleries, sophisticated and traditional restaurants, and cafes. A short distance away is the renowned Boulevard Saint Germain, the Seine, and most of the monuments and points of interest. Also in the neighborhood are excellent quality services such as fine bakeries and select supermarkets. Close to this accommodation is La Grande Epicerie, one of the best delicatessens in Paris.
Premises:
This 120m² (approx. 1,290 sq. ft.) two-bedroom apartment is located on the third French floor of a well-maintained Haussmannien-style, 19th century building. The main entrance gate is protected by a coded security system and opens into a nice hall with a second door that has an intercom and a concierge. This opens into a staircase that leads up to the elevator.
Most of the apartment is painted white with a nice parquet floor and there are beautiful ceiling mouldings. It was totally renovated during the summer of 2006.
The entrance door opens into a hall that has cabinets and shelves; it leads to the master bedroom and to the spacious living room.
The 37m² (approx. 395 sq. ft.) living room has three double-glazed doors that open up to a long balcony overlooking the street. It is furnished with sofas, armchairs, a coffee table, a dining table with chairs, a decorative fireplace, and a piano. It is also equipped with a flat screen cable TV with a combo VCR/DVD player and a stereo.
The separate eat-in kitchen has an opening that faces the living room and a French door that also accesses the balcony. It is equipped with a designer sink, four gas burners, an oven, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a microwave, a refrigerator/freezer and a kettle. There is also a dining table with stools.
The 12m² (approx. 125 sq. ft.) master bedroom has a French window overlooking a courtyard; it has no curtains or shutters. It is furnished with a double-size bed (160cm wide), cabinets, bedside tables and a desk. This room has a high-speed Internet connection.
The first bathroom (accessible from the living room or master bedroom) is fitted with a bathtub with a showerhead and a washbasin. It has an opening that gives a view of the master bedroom.
The separate toilette is accessible from this bathroom.
The 11m² (approx. 115 sq. ft.) second bedroom is furnished with a single-size mezzanine bed, a desk and built-in closets. The owner can provide an extra single-size bed placed under the mezzanine.
The second bathroom is located between the kitchen and the second bedroom. It has a small bathtub with a showerhead, a washbasin and a washing machine.
Heat and hot water use gas and are individual.
The closest metro stations are Saint Sulpice and Saint-Germain-des-Prés (line 4) or Sèvres Babylone (lines 10 and 12).
