Peaceful home stay in Eygalières near Saint Remy de Provence

The authentic 18th Century Mas (old mill) is surrounded by nature and is located a few minutes drive from the lovely village of Eygalières and 10 minutes drive from the village of Saint-Rémy de Provence. There are 5 guest rooms available. (two of them are rented together only). Each bedroom has its private bathroom and toilet. Bedroom with double bed and Terrace - 2 people Mezzanine bedroom with two double beds - 4 people Suite : Bedroom with baldaquin bed and en-suite bedroom with 2 single beds-4 people Smaller bedroom with one double bed - 2 people There is a large park , a swimming pool and a tennis playground. This property is an ideal location for nature lovers: there are wonderful walks straight into the rugged countryside. There are enough parking spaces for several cars at the rear of the property. Breakfast is either served inside, in the living room, or on one of the terraces. Weekly rentals : ============= The suite (two of the bedrooms) can be rented for 4 people together with a kitchenette There is a direct access to a covered terrace for meals (equipped with a BBQ). (Pictures of the bedrooms are bedroom #1 and #2). This is a self catering apartment where breakfast in not included. The property is located near the famous village of Eygalières, close to Saint-Rémy de Provence, just by the mountain range called 'Alpilles'. Within their surroundings, the Alpilles chain of mountains forms both a striking and a harmonious picture. It is also the landscape of famous painters such as Van Gogh, Cézanne and Matisse who came here to capture the extraordinary light and color of the region. It is also a rich agricultural area with rolling plains of fruit orchards, olives groves and all variety of Mediterranean vegetables. It is alive with the sound of chirping 'cigales' and the intoxicating aromas of multitude of wild herbs. The local market of Saint-Rémy is on Wednesdays and Saturdays. There are plenty of bars and restaurants on the main street going all around the village. This area is the 'Provence of the Rhone' and has a strong Roman heritage. The famous ruins of Glanum are nearby: an archeological site from the first century BC. The closest highway is the A7, exit Cavaillon, 20 minutes drive away, that goes from Lyon to Marseille with connections for all major cities of the south east of France. The closest train station is at Avignon and is served by the TGV (Train Grande Vitesse) that goes to Paris in 2 hours and 40 minutes! The closest airport is Avignon as well with daily flights to Paris. But most international connections are made through the international airports of Marseille-Marignane or Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
