In a residential district of Montpellier called "Gambetta Quarter" located near the Train station and the historical center, a private townhouse offers two bedrooms to let. Those bedrooms are on the ground floor of the house. The inhabitants of the bedrooms share the kitchen and the bathroom. The owners have their private apartment upstairs. This shared apartment has a private entrance.
- One of the bedrooms is off the kitchen and is divided into two parts : the bedroom and a study. The bedroom has two twin beds, a dresser, a fan and a cabled TV. The study has a desk and a deckchair. It can accommodate one or two people and is about 20 sqm.
- The other bedroom used to be a store and has a huge glazed shop window that provides light in the whole room without seeing outside or being seen from the outside. This bedroom is furnished with two twin beds, a writing desk, a round table, a rattan armchair and an armoire. Internet and TV access is also available. This room can accommodate one or two person(s) and is about 25 sqm.
The eat-in-kitchen has cabinets, countertops, and is equipped with 2 electric burners, a refrigerator/freezer, a microwave, and a washing machine. The bathroom has a stall shower. Bed & bath linens are provided.
Both bedrooms have a DSL Internet Access.
There are plenty of things to do and see in the region. As a matter of fact, Montpellier remains one of the most dynamic cities of the South East of France. It is the regional center and seat of the department. There you will find an unusual cosmopolitan air : department stores, and luxury shops as well as pedestrian streets in the historical quarter. Many festivals are thrown throughout the year. During the summer, and among others, a theater festival "Le Printemps des Comédiens" and a Dance Festival are organized. Otherwise, two opera houses host famous symphonic orchestras : the Opera Berlioz and the Opéra Comédie.
The Montpellier train station is served by the famous high-speed TGV - Train à Grande Vitesse- that gets you to Paris in approximately 4 hours. Montpellier has an international airport but most of the international flight connections are made through Paris-Charles de Gaulle. By car, Spain is only 2 hours away, Avignon and its famous theater festival an hour only and the Côte d'Azur 3 hours away. Car rentals can be picked up in Montpellier, at the train station or the airport. However, you'll get the best bargains if you arrange for the rental before you leave home. The house itself is located about 20 minutes north of the Mediterranean beaches (Palavas-les-Flots for instance).
