The house is just outside Aix en Provence, on a hill-top, 3 miles from the town center.
The house consists in, on the ground floor : - a spacious living room (300 sq ft) with a log fire and a dining area; television, cassette and DVD players, stereo with radio, cassette and CD players - a large provençal kitchen, with cooking range, oven, dishwasher, clothes washer, large refrigerator/freezer, and microwave oven; the table seats from 8-12 people easily. - an office/bedroom with a single bed - a wet-room with WC, shower, and handbasin
Upstairs, there are: - a large bedroom (240 sqare feet) with a king-size double bed; there is a walk-in hanging cupboard, and an en-suite bathroom/WC with hand-shower. - a medium size bedroom (160 square feet) with 2 single beds which can be configured as a double bed. - a guest bedroom (100 square feet) with a double bed. - a bathroom/WC with hand shower. There are numerous spacious cupboards.
Garden : ------- The key quality of the Villa is it's setting, in a 3 acre garden with fruit trees (olive-, almond-, apple-, peach-trees, pines, and oaks), at the end of an 800 yard track winding through an olive-grove; its a corner of paradise, exceptionally peaceful and calm, but only 3 miles from the centre of Aix en Provence. Its the sort of house which appeals to nature lovers, people who like walking, mountain-biking (you can go 30 miles without meeting another road), or horseback riding (there's a riding stable 1 mile away). Its ideal for children, and for domestic animals, to which the owners have no objection.
Neighborhood : 3 miles from the town center and 25 miles from the sea at Cassis or Marseille; its within easy reach of the Camargue, the Luberon, the Cote d'Azur, and even the Alps, which start just over an hour away by car.
Aix en Provence in Bouches du Rhône district, is a very typical town with an historic center. It is famous for it's landscapes (Cezanne) . The town is less than hour drive from the Mediterranean Sea and the ' Parc Régional du Luberon'. Aix en Provence is also famous for its summer festival (classical and lyric) and it is ideally located to discover the south east of France (including the southern Alps).

Aix en Provence has a high-speed train station which puts it at exactly 3 hours by direct train from Paris, 4,5 hours from Brussels, 6 hours from London; and it is 15 miles from the Marseille-Provence airport, with about 20 daily flights to Paris, plus frequent flights to many other international destinations (UK, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, etc.). 25 km from Marseilles, 65 km from Avignon.
