This fully furnished 2 bedroom house is located 2 km from Saint Remy de Provence, Alpilles in the South of France. The house has a southern exposure and overlooks a large terrace and offers pleasant views onto the garden. This accommodation is arranged on two levels:
Garden level :
Large kitchen opening onto a veranda - dining room, library lounge (with sofa bed).
First French floor :
2 bedrooms and large bathroom
A private swimming pool (fenced) is available at the entrance to the property. A barbecue is at your disposal. The vacation rental is combined with a larger home where le landlords reside. However you ll benifit from a lot of privacy (not overlooked). Parking is available at the entrance to the villa.
This villa is within short driving distance from Saint Remy de Provence, Alpilles in the south of France.
You can rent bicycles in Saint-Rémy (route de Cavaillon) or discover the Alpilles horseback riding. An equestrian center in Saint-Rémy organizes tours during summertime. The local market of Saint-Rémy is on Wednesdays and Saturdays. There are plenty of bars and restaurants on the main street going all around the village. The famous ruins of Glanum are nearby : an archaeological site from the first century BC. It's definitely worth a look. For paintings lovers, the hospital where Vincent Van Gogh stayed (Cloître Saint-Paul) is also a good excursion for the day. You may even recognize one of the landscapes he drew while he was there.
The closest highway is the A7, exit Cavaillon, 20 minutes drive away, that goes from Lyon to Marseille with connections for all major cities of the south east of France. The closest train station is at Avignon and is served by the TGV (Train Grande Vitesse) that goes to Paris in 2 hours and 40 minutes ! The closest airport is Avignon as well with daily flights to Paris. But most international connections are made through the international airports of Marseille-Marignane or Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
