Country house on the edge of the famous village of Saint-Rémy de Provence

This three bedroom / one bathroom "Mas" built in the Provencal style is situated on the secondary road leading from Saint-Rémy de Provence to Cavaillon. This house is available for summer rentals from July through August, from Saturday to Saturday. The house can accommodate 9 people maximum. A dividing wall separates the house from the neighbors on the eastern part of the garden. You access the property through an automatic iron gate. There's enough parking space for several cars. Ground Floor : A large French door leads to the living room, which is furnished with a sofa (that can be used as an extra single bed), a coffee table, a dresser, some bookshelves, a wood burning stove, and a TV with VCR. There is a dining area next to the kitchen with a dining table seating 8-10 people. In this living/dining area, a sofa bed may accommodate two more people. A second convertible sofabed is available. A counter with two stools separates the living/dining area from the open kitchen and can be used either as a table for snacks and breakfasts or as a pass-through. The open eat-in-kitchen has all appliances, brand new cabinets and countertops. It is equipped with a stove, four gas burners, a microwave, a coffee maker, a toaster, a juice maker, a refrigerator / freezer, and a dishwasher. A round dining table can be used or, outside, under the covered terrace, another table is available. There is a toilet. Second Floor : The master bedroom is on your left hand upstairs. It has a large French window overlooking the garden and facing a beautiful plane tree. There is a double size bed with two nightstands, an extra single bed, and a large mirrored closet. You can access the bathroom directly from this master bedroom or through another door in the hallway. The bathroom has a stall shower, a bathtub, a sink with mirror and toilet. The two other bedrooms are available. One is furnished with 2 single beds and the third bedroom has a double bed on its lower level and a second double bed on the mezzanine. The 3 bedrooms have Air Conditioning. A DSL internet access is available. Outside : You will enjoy the large 9000 sqm garden as well as the swimming pool (5mx12m). Some garden furniture as well as a BBQ are available. The property is situated 2 minutes drive away from Saint-Rémy de Provence and 30 minutes drive from Avignon. You can rent bicycles in Saint-Rémy at "Ferri Location" (route de Cavaillon) or discover the Alpilles horseback riding. An equestrian center in Saint-Rémy organizes tours during summertime. The local market of Saint-Rémy is on Wednesdays and Saturdays. There are plenty of bars and restaurants on the main street going all around the village. The famous ruins of Glanum are nearby : an archeological site from the first century before Christ. It's definitely worth a look. For paintings lovers, the hospital where Vincent Van Gogh stayed (Cloître Saint-Paul) is also a good excursion for the day. You may even recognize one of the landscapes he drew while he was there. The closest motorway is the A7, exit Cavaillon, 20 minutes drive away. This highway goes from Lyon to Marseille with connections for all major cities of the south east of France. The closest train station is at Avignon and is served by the TGV (Train Grande Vitesse) that goes to Paris in 2 hours and 40 minutes ! The closest airport is Avignon as well with daily flights to Paris. But most international connections are made through the international airports of Marseille-Marignane or Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
