2 Bedroom Apartment overlooking the Bay of Villefranche sur Mer
|
This 2 bedroom / 1 bathroom apartment is situated on the first French floor of walk-up building facing the Bay of Villefranche sur Mer. This building is on the secondary road leading from Villefranche to Saint-Jean Cap Ferrat (N98). The apartment is approximately 52 sqm and comfortably accommodates 4 people. It is available for summer weekly rentals and during off-peak season as well.
You enter the apartment through a hallway leading to the living / dining room. This living area is about 25 sqm and is furnished with sofa bed (double size), and a table seating 4. A French window that overlooks the sea provides light in the whole room. The open kitchen has brand new cabinets and countertops. It is equipped with 4 electric induction hotplates, a refrigerator/freezer, an oven, a coffee maker, and a kettle.
A first bedroom is on your left hand side when you enter the apartment : it has two twin beds, a desk and a closet. There is a window with a view over the sea as well.
A second bedroom is off the living room. It is furnished with a double size bed and has a closet. There is a window with a view over the bay.
The bathroom is standard : a sink with mirror, a bathtub, a stall shower, and WC.
Across the road, a few meters away, is a sandy beach. There are also plenty of parking spaces in the (free) parking lot situated by the resort "Pierre & Vacances".
This apartment is less expensive that other properties of the same type, the catch is that the proximity to the road can make the surroundings very noisy.
The historical village of Villefranche Sur Mer overlooks the harbor and the Villefranche Bay, considered one of the most beautiful on the Riviera. Several shops, cafés and restaurants are located nearby in the old village. The old village has many pedestrian-only and historic streets. As you may have noticed on our pictures, one of the most famous streets, called "Rue Obscure" has been built into the rampart that formerly protected the town. It is listed historic monument. The beautiful and colorful Chapel Jean Cocteau is nearby. In front of the building is a bus stop. The bus gets you in Villefranche in 5-10 minutes. Monaco is only a few kilometers away and Nice, the regional center and seat of the department, is 15 minutes to the west. Here, the Nice train station is served by the high-speed TGV (the "Train Grande Vitesse," only four hours to Paris), and its international airport (Nice-Côte d'Azur) has daily flights from New York. Otherwise most international flight connections are made through Paris. With a car, Italy is only 20-30 minutes away.
