Exceptional one bedroom apartment with balcony located in the Old Town of Nice
|
This one bedroom / one and a half bathroom apartment is located in the heart of the Old Town atop one of the oldest remaining example of an 18th Century Nicoise Palace. the apartment was renovated in 2004. There is an intercom system, and an elevator in the building. The apartment of approximately 50 square meters can sleep 2 or 4 people and offers different possibilities: an extra bedroom can be available if needed (that would make a two bedroom / one and a half bathroom) and another contiguous large studio (see reference number PR-261 on our website) can also be rented in the meantime. Then, you can be a party of 2-4-6-8-10 people, this accommodation would be suitable for you!
You enter the apartment through a fully fitted open kitchen, with wooden countertops, designed cabinets, electric inductions hotplates, a dishwasher, a grill-oven, a microwave, a refrigerator / freezer and a washing machine. A bar with two high stools separates the kitchen from the lounge. Traditional Nicoise terracotta tiles run throughout the adjoining rooms. The whole apartment has double-glazed windows.
The living room has two large French windows opening onto a full-length balcony that overlooks the city and, in the background, looks over the surrounding mountains. There are two single sofa beds as well as a folding dining table for 8, a lounge table, many bookshelves, a TV, a stereo and an air conditioning unit.
The Indian-style bedroom is furnished with an Antique double-size bed (that can also becomes two single beds), two nightstands with table lamps, and an Antique armoire.
The marble bathroom with teak floors has a bathtub, a sink with mirror and toilet. The half bathroom has toilet and a sink, at the entrance of the apartment.
The extra bedroom has a window that looks out over the balcony and can be a single or double bedroom. It is available upon request for an additional cost.
This famous building dating from the 18th Century is located on an historic stone square with a fountain, just a stone's throw from the flowers and antique markets of the Cours Saleya. The Chateau Gardens and the Mediterranean Sea is also a few minutes walk away. This stylish "home away from home" offers everything you would possibly expect from a typical French holyday, right at your doorstep. The Old Town contains a treasure-trove of Baroque art from the 17th and 18th centuries. There are many churches among the narrow streets of this fascinating and timeless district of Nice. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés and boutiques all around. It is a very lively quarter. The closest paying parking lot is "Palais de Justice"
Nice, nestled amidst hills and tucked into the unrivalled setting of the "Baie des Anges", is famous for its liveliness and its dynamism. It is also, after Paris, the city that boasts the higher number of Museums in France ; among others, the Chagall Museum and the Matisse Museum. But Nice is also a real melting pot: the city has preserved numerous traces of its eventful past and the diversity of its architecture shows how numerous were the worldwide influences. The Nice train station is served by the high-speed TGV (the "Train Grande Vitesse," only five hours from Paris). The international airport (Nice-Côte d'Azur), situated 15 minutes drive from the apartment, has been built on land reclaimed on the sea. It offers daily flights to/from New York. Otherwise most international flight connections are made through Paris. With a car, Italy is only 20-30 minutes away.
