Unexpected One bedroom apartment with enchanted Garden in the heart of Cannes
|
This one bedroom / one bathroom apartment with garden is an unexpected 'home away from home'! Situated on the ground floor of prewar building, this 'Garden Flat' is between the loft and the house. Loft because of its open-spaces and its lofted master bedroom overlooking the living room, and house for its peaceful and enchanting garden, where you would feel like in the countryside.
This apartment is located near the Boulevard Carnot, in a small one-way street. The whole apartment is approximately 90 sqm (plus about 40 sqm of garden) and has south exposure. This accommodation is available for weekly rentals throughout the year and would comfortably accommodate 2 to 3 people. There are actually two bedrooms: a master bedroom, which is not separated from the living room, and a smaller bedroom, separated.
You enter the apartment through the large and fully equipped eat-in-kitchen. There is a dining corner with a table seating four, 4 gas burners, an oven, a microwave, a toaster, a coffee maker, a kettle, a refrigerator / freezer, and a dishwasher. A window looks onto the street.
At the rear of the building, facing the garden, the living room has two French windows (that lead to the garden). There is a parquet floor, and an ancient fireplace. The lofted bedroom has a queen-size bed, and a rattan armchair. As you may have noticed on the pictures the owner has a cat (who of course won't be there during the rentals). At the back of the mezzanine is a door leading to the smaller bedroom that has a single bed. You can also access the smaller bedroom through the office, from the living room. The smaller bedroom is on a mezzanine that overlooks the office. The office has a window looking onto the garden.
The bathroom is underneath the bedrooms, below the mezzanine. It has a washbasin with mirror, a bathtub / shower, toilet and a washing machine.
In the garden, a covered terrace hosts a barbecue, and a dining table seating four: ideal for dinner alfresco!
There are also 2 cats in the apartment.
The apartment is located about approximately 10 minutes walk from the Croisette and 5 minutes walk from Antibes Street. It is a very residential and quiet district just a stone's throw from the lively and cosmopolitan air of Cannes, the famous shopping streets, and the beach. If you have a car, there is a private parking space one block away (exterior).
After W.W. II, Cannes quickly became the haunt of crowned heads and billionaires, then the city of Stars, Festivals and International Conventions. Mostly famous for its International Film Festival (in May) the town regularly hosts well-known stars in its many luxury Hotels. On La Croisette, the most famous fashion brands are represented : among others Louis Vuitton, Chanel or Hermès. Of course, restaurants and boutiques are all around. The white-sand beach across La Croisette is usually crowded but remains one of the most famous throughout the French Riviera.
The regional center and seat of the department, Nice, is 30 minutes to the east. Here, the Nice train station is served by the high-speed TGV (the "Train Grande Vitesse," only 5 and a half hours to Paris), and its international airport (Nice-Côte d'Azur) has daily flights from the United States and England. Otherwise most international flight connections are made through Paris. With a car, you can range far and wide on day trips alone: Italy is only 1 hour away. Aix en Provence is 90 minutes distant.
