This 2-story house is available for rentals throughout the year except when occupied by the owner. It can accommodate up to 9 people
You enter the house through a large hallway. On your right hand side is an eat-in-kitchen equipped with 4 gas burners, an oven, a refrigerator / freezer, and a dishwasher. A table seats 6 and a window looks onto the garden
On the left hand side of the entrance hallway is a dining room, with dining table seating 8, a side table and a window looking onto the garden as well.
The living room has a decorative fireplace and is fully furnished with two sofas, armchairs, and a coffee table. In a corner is a built-in bench with a games table. Three sets of French window open onto the garden.
There is a TV.
The master bedroom opens onto the living room. It has a double size bed. Another room, furnished with a double sofa bed, two armchairs, and a dresser, is open onto the living room. At the back of the room, a wooden staircase leads upstairs.
On the first floor, off the entrance is a stall shower bathroom with a washbasin, and separate guest toilet.
Upstairs are three bedrooms and a second stall shower bathroom. One will be closed during the rentals.
The first bedroom is furnished with two twin beds. The second bedroom has two bunk beds, a desk, and a dresser. Both rooms have a window overlooking the garden. The third bedroom has a single bed and a roof window with an electric blind.
The bathroom has a washbasin, a stall shower and water closet.
IMPORTANT : Depending on the number of people to accommodate, bedrooms will be made available as needed, empty bedrooms will stay closed. Check with an agent for more details.
The house is ideally located only a few minutes walk from the beach, which is a great amenity considering that it is usually impossible to find a parking space by the beach during high season.
The town of Bandol and its harbor are nearby and offer all kind of shopping: bakeries, groceries, Provencal markets ... Of course, there are many cafés and restaurants. Bandol is actually one of the most important ports on the Var coast. Its reputation stems heavily from its wines. It's the ideal place to stay whether you taking a stroll down the famous promenade, visiting the islanders of Bendor or sampling the delights of Bandol's cuisine. The Zoo and Exotic Gardens hosts Mediterranean and tropical plants and animals including a large bird collection.
Bandol is located a few minutes drive from Cassis which is also a lovely village. If you go north, the area is also famous for its wines, and the dominant feature of the local landscape is its vineyards. About 20-30 minutes drive to the east, the city of Toulon -Prefecture of the Var since 1974- used to be a place of transit for military convoys, passengers and goods but was partially destroyed during WW II. Its geographical location attracted the navy who settled here, as well as industrial activities. Thirty minutes drive to the west, Marseilles -Prefecture of the Bouches-du-Rhône- is an amazingly lively cosmopolitan city. The Phocean city was, and still is, an important artistic and cultural focal point in the region.
It is strongly recommended to have a car, in order to discover the area.
The closest highway exit is just 2 minutes drive from the house.: exit Bandol on the A50. If you are coming by plane, the Toulon/Hyères Airport is approximately 40-45 minutes drive away, and has daily domestic flights from/to Paris, where most international flight connections are made through.
Marseille Provence airport is 70 km away.
