South France Accommodation Studio in Cannes, French Riviera (PR-424)

This studio of approximately 28 sqm is situated on the 3rd French floor (i.e. 4th floor for Americans) of a prewar walk-up building, situated near the harbor of Cannes, in the famous quarter of "Le Suquet". The studio has air-conditioning and a balcony. Heating is electric.

This accommodation is available for weekly rentals throughout the year as well as during special events (such as the Film Festival).

The main living area is furnished with two single size beds. There is a TV and Internet access is available. You also have a coffee table, a large built-in closet, and a dresser.

The open kitchen is equipped with two electric induction hotplates, a combo oven (microwave & grill) , a coffee maker, and a refrigerator.

Two sets of French windows open to the balcony that has eastern exposure. The balcony looks onto a pedestrian street and over rooftops towards the Mediterranean sea. There are many cafés and restaurants in this lively quarter.

The bathroom has a stall shower, a sink with mirror. Toilet is separated.

The apartment is wonderfully located, in the heart of the historical quarter of Le Suquet, very near the harbor and the beaches. Le Suquet is in the western part of Cannes. La Croisette and Le Palais des Festivals are 5-8 minutes walk away. For transportation, everything is within reach: buses, taxis, train station ... You can also take the ferries to the Lérins Island and even further, i.e. San-Remo, Monaco, Saint-Tropez etc.

After W.W. II, Cannes quickly became the haunt of crowned heads and billionaires, then the city of Stars, Festivals and International Conventions. Mostly famous for its International Film Festival (in May) the town regularly hosts well-known stars in its many luxury Hotels. On La Croisette, the most famous fashion brands are represented: among others Louis Vuitton, Chanel ... or Hermès. Of course, restaurants and boutiques are all around. The white-sand beach across La Croisette is usually crowded but remains one of the most famous throughout the French Riviera.

The regional center and seat of the department, Nice, is 30 minutes to the east. Here, the Cannes train station is served by the high-speed TGV (the "Train Grande Vitesse," only five hours to Paris), and its international airport (Nice-Côte d'Azur) has daily flights from New York. Otherwise most international flight connections are made through Paris. With a car, you can range far and wide on day trips alone: Italy is only 1 hour away. Aix en Provence is 90 minutes distant.
