Mas standing among vineyards between Avignon & Uzès - Swimming Pool

This beautiful Country House is located near a picturesque village of the Gard department, standing among vineyards. This accommodation is either available as a Bed & Breakfast (5 guest rooms all with private bathroom) or the whole house can be rented on a weekly basis (in this case 8 bedrooms are available to accommodate a total of 17 people- 7 double bedrooms + 1 triple). There is a large garden, a private parking lot and a swimming pool. The bedrooms are described in their order of appearance on the website. They all sleep 2 people and are on the 1st French floor (i.e. 2nd floor), except the last one ('Le Pigeonnier') that sleeps 5 and is located on the 2nd & 3rd French floors. All the bedrooms have due south exposure. Bedroom 'Les Lavandes' ------------------------------ 'Les Lavandes' is furnished with a double size bed. One window looks onto the garden, a second one looks onto the swimming pool. The private en-suite bathroom has a washbasin, a stall shower, a bathtub and toilet. Bedroom 'La Treille' ------------------------- 'La Treille' is furnished with a double size bed, and looks onto the garden and the village on the background. The large and private en-suite bathroom has a washbasin, a bathtub equipped Whirlpool and water stream system, and toilet. Bedroom 'Saint Laurent' -------------------------- 'Saint-Laurent' is furnished with a double size bed, and has a window looking onto the garden. The bathroom is actually not an en-suite bathroom, it is located across the hallway. It has a washbasin, a bathtub / shower and toilet. Bedroom 'Les Oliviers' --------------------------------- 'Les Oliviers' also a double size bed. One window looks onto the garden, another one onto the surrounding vineyards. The en-suite bathroom has a washbasin, a bathtub / shower and toilet. Bedroom 'Le Pigeonnier' --------------------------------- 'Le Pigeonnier' has three single beds as well as a double size bed. It is actually a suite that would accommodate 5 people. The en-suite bathroom has a washbasin, a bathtub / shower and toilet. Guests have access to a large vaulted living room. Breakfast is either served inside, or in the garden. There are enough parking spaces for several cars at the entrance of the property. The property is located in the middle of the famous vineyards of Tavel, Lirac, Côte du Rhone, and Chateauneuf du Pape. The closest village, Saint-Laurent des Arbres, is located in the Gard department, between Avignon and Uzès. This is a wine producing area and you will be able to do wine tasting session or visit authentic cellars. The dominant feature of the local landscape is its vineyards. You are 60 km from the sea and the Regional Conservation Park of La Camargue. The famous Pont du Gard is about a 30 minutes drive. Avignon is pretty famous for its theater festival, and Orange has a wonderful Antique theater that hosts great "chorégies" -Roman choir songs- during the summer. Nîmes also is worth a look and still have a few Roman buildings still in a great state of preservation as the "Maison Carré" -Square House. The closest highway is the A9, exit Remoulins, 5-10 minutes drive away. This highway goes from the Spanish border to Orange with connections for all major cities of the south east of France. The closest train station is at Avignon, 15-20 minutes drive away, which is served by the TGV (Train Grande Vitesse) that goes to Paris in 2 hours and 40 minutes! The closest airport is Avignon or Nîmes-Garons with daily flights to / from Paris. But most international connections are made through the international airports such as Marseille-Marignane or Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
