This delightful old provencal Mas is located on a private estate of 9 hectares (25 acres) Facing south, it is surrounded by forests, olive-trees and overlooking a vineyard. This property, ideal for a quiet and peaceful holiday.
The layout is as follows :
Ground floor :
Large living room with open fire-place equipped with satellite TV and radio cassette player.
Dining area for 8 people next to the open plan kitchen which has dishwasher, washing machine, eye level electric oven, a gas hod, electric B.B.Q. Grill and a deep-fryer.
There is also a bar room with long bar counter, drinks refrigerator, double aluminium sink, bar stools, piano, fireplace and separate entrance onto the terrace.
First French floor :
A large spacious bedroom (#1) equipped with a double bed with individual mattresses, convertible double sofa bed. Adjoining is a tiled bathroom with double washbasin, bath and shower and W.C.
Beyond is a children's bedroom (#2) with double bed and a bunk bed. On the mezzanine landing is a separate W.C.
On the second French floor is another bedroom used by the owner.
OUTSIDE/GARDEN AREA:
To the front of the house, on the lower terrace is a large circular swimming pool and a smaller shallower pool for children. Directly in front of the house is a wide terrace shaded by two ancient plane trees.
There is plenty of relaxing garden furniture and mattresses for the pool terrace. Also a swing for children.
The owners look after the property, garden and pools, and have a studio apartment and summer house at the rear, which they share witht their dogs and cats. Clients who like domestic animals are welcome.
NEIGHBOURHOOD :
The upper Var region has a lot of natural sites to explore, lots of vineyards which make this area of Provence sometimes comparable to Tuscany, Italy. The nearby local towns are Lorgues (well-known for its colourful market) and Salernes (the most important ceramics centre is the south of France). The village of "Le Thoronet" has all kinds of shops, cafés and restaurants. Many outdoor events are organised in the summer.
ACCESS:
Situated between Nice (80km) and Aix en Provence, the closest airports are Nice, Toulon, Marseilles.
