5 Bedroom 4 Bath Mas with swimming pool in Les Alpilles

This tastefuly refurbished Authentic Mas is located in the heart of the Village of Paradou, near Les Baux de Provence. This property is divided into three floors. The layout is as follows : Ground Floor : ============ You enter the property via a large living space with a sofa, cane armchairs, a dining table, an wardrobe and a piano. There are nice exposed beams. From this space you have access to a spacious living room his furnished with two large sofas, armchairs, a chest of drawers and is equipped with a large satellite TV screen and a stereo. This room has very nice vaulted ceilings. There is an elegant working fireplace. The separate kitchen is ideal for Cuisine lovers. It has semi-professional appliances including a large double gas stove and burners, dishwasher and American standard refrigerator and freezer. There is a large dining table and a lovely working fireplace. Both the kitchen and the living room have nice vaulted ceilings and a direct access to the south exposed terrace. At the back of the house is a north exposed terrace with plants and garden furniture which gives access from the west part of the house to the east part. Between the kitchen and the north terrace is a small lounge with a double sofa. At the back of the kitchen you will find a laundry room with a washer and dryer. There is a bathroom with a shower, washbasin and toilet. An elevator and a stair case give access to the first French floor. First/ Second French Floor : ==================== Between the ground floor and the first floor is a separate toilet and a washbasin. You have access to this floor either through the west part of the property via an elevator or via a staircase on the east part. Via the staircase, you go through a "boudoir" with a single bed. The master bedroom faces south and is furnished with a double bed, a desk and a large bookshelf. You will find a large dressing room next to the bedroom. There is a spacious bathroom with a double washbasin, a tub, separate stall shower, a French bidet and a toilet. Next to the boudoir and first bedroom is a large office space (south exposure) From this part of the Mas you can use the elevator to get to the ground floor. On the third French floor (under the roof) you will find a large sleeping space with 3 single bed, a sofa and a desk. There is a bathroom with a shower and a toilet. On the east part of the Mas is an independent apartment (it is part of the Mas but can be rented separately during the off season). It is composed of 2 double bedrooms (one facing south, one overlooking the back terrace) sharing a bathroom with double washbasin, shower, separate toilet and a kitchen/living room. This part of the Mas has a private entrance.(external stone stairs give access to the garden via the south exposed kitchen). Outside : ======= The property is fenced and you access to it via and automated gate. Garden furniture, deckchairs are available as well as 2 terraces (one south, one north). You have access to the swimming pool. The front of the Mas is partly shaded by a large plane tree. You are in the heart of The village of Le Paradou and a few minutes drive from the famous village of Les Baux de Provence (3 km away). Neighbourhood: -------------- The house is in the heart of the mountain range called 'Alpilles'; 45 minutes south of the city of Avignon, 10 minutes from Saint-Rémy de Provence and in the heart of the village of Paradou where main shops can be found.(You can easily walk there). You are only a few minutes drive from the beautiful medieval town of Les Baux de Provence. Within their surroundings, the Alpilles chain of mountains forms both a striking and a harmonious picture. Set in the white rock, high on its promontory, the village of Baux-de-Provence and its old castle overhang a valley filled with olive trees, and vineyards. The view from the old castle is amazing and the Cathédrale d'Images, set in a former stone quarry, usually offers interesting exhibitions. Listed as one of the "Most beautiful villages in France" and as a historical monument, Les Baux de Provence is one of the most popular places in France. This area is the 'Provence of the Rhone' and has a strong Roman heritage. It is also the landscape of famous painters such as Van Gogh, Cézanne and Matisse who came here to capture the extraordinary light and color of the region. It is a also rich agricultural area with rolling plains of fruit orchards, olives groves and all variety of Mediterranean vegetables. It is alive with the sound of chirping 'cigales' and the intoxicating aromas of multitude of wild herbs. The olive oil from the Baux valley is worldwide famous. This olive grove has been designated 'Outstanding site for flavor' and produces an olive oil, which has the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée classification.
